Just curious about the interaction of Sanguine Instruction and The Greatest Trick. It'd be nifty if one could play SI, modifying it with TGT, to a virtually guaranteed successful action, but there's something nagging me, saying that it isn't doable. Probably something to do with the text on SI saying something about "this acting vampire". If this isn't a roadblock, does SI "require" a discipline, per TGT's card text, or does it just generically require that a discipline be present on the vampire as it attempts an action? Curious. Forgot something, there is also something in the cardtext of the grandest trick that states that you cannot use any cards that require a vampire, clan or discipline. So that makes it a definate no on your question. Sorry about the messy postings, I was a bit sleepy. Sander

Previous post went wrong: Sanguine Instruction From the card text: Requires a ready vampire. +1 stealth action <omitted rest of card text> The Grandest Trick From the card text: This acting vampire is treated as a mortal ally for the duration of the action. So I guess the anwser is no. You cannot ever use them at the same time, since your vampire isn't a vampire anymore when he uses the grandest trick. Sander

Haven't seen a response from LSJ yet. It'd be nice. :) Xian

Once that was pointed out, I thought a "correct" from me would've been superfluous. Sorry for the oversight. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. I was pretty sure this was the case (which was why I mentioned it in my original post), but thought I'd verify. The thought of Greatest Trick/Sanguine Instruction sounded too good to be true. And it was. I guess I was hoping for something analagous to the Ian Forrestal/multi-discipline card twist, with the "choose a discipline this vampire has at superior" being picked at the announcement of the action, but being irrelevant (to the conclusion of the action) by the time The Greatest Trick is played. Xian also confused because the only answer came from a poster with 1 prior post on r.g.t-c.j ever
