As the sun sets over the Solent you are reminded that Turner lived here, and painted his beautiful skyscapes from the downs that sandwich this city of grey ships to north and south. Unless you're one of the city's numerous undead, that is. First of all it would fry you, and second of all you have other worries as the shadows lengthen in your crypt. Anarchy is abroad, and the Sabbat waxes strong .... dark brothers and sisters, it is time to reclaim the night! Where: Second Byte, Albert Rd, near the King's theatre. Catch a number 13 or 17 bus from outside the railway station, or email james.m...@port.ac.uk for a map if coming by car. When: A sunday in early May, starting at 11am. Firm date and time nearer the time. Rules: DCI golden tenets [no repeat actions, no vote-pushing]. If using mixed Jyhad and Vampire-backed cards, use opaque card backs OR a 60-40 card split. Entry Fee: Ł3.00. Prizes to be decided, but there will be something for everyone. Do come along if you can. There are a couple of strong play-groups in the city and Southampton has others, including Rob Treasure who is the European VTES champion and a FIENDISHLY good player. James Coupe, Prince of England has promised to descend from the north, or anyway the midlands, to wreak havoc amongst us. Probably if you live around Brum and James has passed his test, he might give you a lift. Also I hope to entice Michael Beer over from Dortmund, whose performance in the JOL tournament entitles him to claim a place among the top five players in the world! O, and there are LOTS of really crap players like me so don't be frightened!!!

DCI rules and Golden Tenets are not the same thing. DCI Rules (official tounament rules): * No Repeat Actions * Delayed Vote Replenishment Golden Tenets (house rules): * No Repeat Actions * No Vote Pushing -- L. [ quoted text not captured ] Phew, saved by the netrep ..... delayed vote replenishment is what I mean. Also virtually no cards are banned ..... just the ones it says in the DCI rules thingy. And there are no card limits. Anything else I've forgotten? Legbiter, Prince of Wessex.
