hi before i start with my impressions, i would like to thank Carl and his team for a well organized event. The opening party was very cool, good music, nice decoration, lots of posters, and cards everywhere on the bar. unfortunately i missed the show, but i was told it was great! the location for the EC was chosen well, good atmosphere, nice decoration, an an aire of the old world, monarchs, and a haven for toreador and ventrue ;-) i think the organisation, table seating, and so on, went quite smoothly, considering the 115 participants. on the second day there was quite a delay for the side events, but again, kudos to the organizational team for finding a place for everyone, and managing 6 events at the same time. as for the qualifier: i failed horribly, as i seem to have a golden hand for picking the deck to play for each event i take part in. i played a toreador anson+anneke vote deck with 10 aching beauty's, which normally does quite well. round 1 anti vote prey with arika, elder kindred network and kindred coercion. i played only two votes during the whole of the game. one krc which cost me 5 pool, and one ancient influence which my predator was nice enough not to ekn/kc, cant imagine why ;-) well 0 points for me, and a game win for arika an her pals. round 2 i bring out anson and sing a song to him: "assamites to the left of me, assamites to the right, and here i am stuck in the middle with you" anson got reduced to 1 blood by a .44 and a blur, and tegiryus killed him off with the fang. a tablesplit deal was thwarted by my grandprey threatening to oust himself, and so i was killed the normal way. 0 points, tegiryius i think took the gamewin round 3 yippie, i love to be a speedbump to etrius bleeding for 8 about 5 times, deflect 3, golconda anson, die horribly. 0 points sing the tripple zero blues, baby!!! well, whatever, it was fun playing, and a good atmosphere with no ruleslawyering and no mystic moves by any player. second day:teamplay i teamed up with marcus mock, and we went on to take 2 tables. 8 teams took part, and only one team managed to take 3 gamewins so we decided to name this team the winner, and go on with some friendly games, as we did not want to roll a dice between 3 other teams that scored 2 gws. i also me a whole buch of nice players, talked a lot of shop and basically had a great time. all in all a great weekend an once again thanks to Carl and his team! regards Chris.QJ

"Me too". :-) And also thanks to Carl for picking me and dropping me off at the airport and for all the hospitality while I was in his domain. And thanks to everyone who showed up. It was nice to meet the faces behind the names on the newsgroup. (If any of you asked me to check on something once I got back, you may want to email me a reminder - the jet lag and sleep deprivation may have subdued your requests :-) > The opening party was very cool, good music, nice decoration, lots of > posters, and cards everywhere on the bar. unfortunately i missed the > show, but i was told it was great! It was. I enjoyed watching and later meeting the Austrian LARPers (many of whom also play V:TES, apparently). Several people were taking pictures, so I'm sure some will show up on the net soon. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
