Hello, here's today's dumb question. Checking Power of All topics on my side rose this situation: This post : http://groups.google.com/group/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/msg/54c8342095bbff27 is old. But that's not the reason that made me search for it. I was looking for a definition of "library card". I decided a "library card" was a v:tes card that is not a "crypt card". I ran some search about "crypt card author:LSJ", and that post was the first result. Here's the part I look at closely : "[...] But since there do exists non-crypt card vampires [...]" (60% of the text). So, here's the first question: Is an Embrace in the uncontrolled region due to Banishment a library card ? If so, per http://groups.google.com/group/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/msg/510e3e7a18ef5686 , is it safe to assume that a Banished Embrace that is influenced out is a library card played during the influence phase ? And if that is still correct, is it OK to cancel an Embrace being influenced out with a Power of All ? If that's OK, what happens to a cancelled vampire? Is he / she sent to the Ash heap ? Thanks. ~ ~ ~ Power of All [TR:C] Cardtype: Reaction Cost: 2 blood Requires a ready anarch. Tap this anarch and one other untapped ready anarch you control to cancel a library card as it is played. Usable even if there is no action. Not usable during your own turn. Banishment [DS:U2, FN:PS, CE:PTo/PV, KMW:PAn2, LoB:PG] Cardtype: Political Action Choose a younger ready vampire. Successful referendum means that the chosen vampire is moved to the uncontrolled region (breaking any temporary control effects). The vampire is uncontrolled. Any cards and counters on that vampire stay with him or her (but they are out of play as long as the vampire remains uncontrolled). The Embrace [Jyhad:R2, VTES:R, CE:R2, KoT:R] Cardtype: Action Cost: 2 blood Capacity: 1 +1 stealth action. Requires a ready non-Sterile vampire. Put this card in play; it becomes a non-unique vampire with 1 capacity of the same clan as the acting vampire. This vampire must hunt this turn.

It's treated like a crypt card. That is, it remains a vampire (and is not treated like an action card). That is, it can be influenced out as any other vampire (or other crypt card). > If so, per http://groups.google.com/group/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/msg/510e3e7a18ef5686 > , is it safe to assume that a Banished Embrace that is influenced out > is a library card played during the influence phase ? > > And if that is still correct, is it OK to cancel an Embrace being > influenced out with a Power of All ? Whether or not you want it to be treated as a crypt card rather than a library card, does it count as "played" in any case when it's entering play from the uncontrolled region during the influence phase? And if not, isn't that alone sufficient to keep Power of All from being able to cancel it? - D.J.

Whoops; I had missed that the two links were different. OK, makes sense; thanks. - D.J.
