Scott,
In a recent game a Charming lobby action (pre) was attempted and
none of us truly understood how to resolve it. Could you give me an
example of how it should be properly used???
Could you also answer the following....
1/Does the action charming lobby allow a Political action from
your hand to be used during the action?? Or does it in fact require 3
vampires to be used efectively (1 to charming lobby, 1 to call the
initial vote, and one to call the final vote.)
2/ i/The phrase "the next vote passes automatically" does that
refer to ANY vote called by ANY Methusela??
ii/Is there any time restriction on how long between the
success of the charming lobby and the caling of the automatically
passing vote.
Thanks in Advance, Karl

No yelling in the subject line, Karl - there's no crowd here to
be heard above :-)

If you mean "officially" by "properly":
1) a vampire your control successfully takes the Charming Lobby action.
2) another vampire you control (or the same one, if he untaps)
successfully calls a political action. During the voting, you gain
two extra votes if the Chaming Lobby was performed at superior.
If the vote passes:
3) The next political action called (remaining unblocked) passes
automatically with no voting. It need not be called by a vampire
that you control.
If the vote (the 1st vote) fails, then there's no further effect.

Three actions. Three vampires are required unless the first manages to
untap to take one of the remaining actions.

Yes, but only to political actions. It would not cause a Blood Hunt
to pass automatically.

Until the end of the game :-)

Actually, can you give me an example of when it should actually be used,
barring really needing 2 more votes and some demented but really
interesting ally vote push? Cryptic Rider seems better to me, even with
the extra blood cost (I think).

Charming Lobby has two benefits over Cryptic Rider:
The superior gives you two extra votes to get the first PA passed.
It costs no blood.
These are minor benefits.
If they aren't needed in your deck, then use Cryptic Rider.

There is a third benefit to Charming Lobby, albeit an esoteric one:
You can guarantee someone else a successful vote.
It's the sort of thing that you'd really need to be careful about, however.
