LSJ -
Came up in our league last Thursday -
If a dodge is played by opposing
player, can weapon strike that can only
be used once per combat/round be used
for the additional strike?
i.e. Vamp A, acting minion with
celerity declares strike with shotgun.
Vamp B, blocking minion declares
strike:dodge. Vamp A blurs for
additional strike. Can it declare the
shotgun as its additional strike? If
possible please give rules reference
location (section 2B or some such is
good).
Many thanks!

From the Rulemonger site:
Dodges only neutralize the opposing strike's effects on the dodging minion
and any non-retainer cards on him. :C01: [TOM 960403]
Hence, I'd rule that the shotgun's still been used that round or combat,
and cannot be used again in the appropriate time period. Precedent also
exists in Giant's Blood/Sudden Reversal: You've canceled the effects,
but the card has still been used in its restricted time period (once per
game in the case of Giant's Blood, once per combat/round with the
Shotguns.

Confirmed. Once per combat is once per combat, regardless of
the effectiveness of the initial "once".
