Okay, these are all a bit related (kind of, if you don't think too hard) so I thought I'd put them all in one post. The Master: Discipline cards say," Put this card on a vampire" eg Card Title: Quietus Pool: n/a Clan: n/a Card Type: Master Card Text: Master: Discipline Put this card on a vampire. This vampire has Quietus. [qui] If the vampire already had Quietus, he or she now has superior Quietus. Capacity increases by 1: the vampire is one generation older. Cannot be played on a vampire with superior Quietus. Artist: William O'Connor Rarity: Common 2 Having typed these in to my card database I know that all the others are the same but for their own disciplines. Define "Put this card on a vampire." It never specifies controlled, uncontrolled, mine or someone else's. Our group has always played that you can put them on uncontrolled vampires. If they're your's you nkow whether they have Quietus at superior or not, so you play it fine. If it's someone else's, we play it that you just keep going till you get to one (the idea being that if I, as a Methuselah, am teaching your vampires skills then it's going to be harder for you to control them). I have never seen an errata on this and it's something that came up in the group when someone came back from university (he was, however, aware of the ruling we've played since before V:TES came out and was happy to work with it). Now the third point second. On the discipline cards the words "the vampire is one generation older" are there. It does say in the rules that a vampire's age is related to his capacity but in the Sabbat most, if not all, reminder text was got rid of (eg Telepathic Counter) and these weren't. However, what happens when I lose a capacity, as in Violet Tremain Card Title: Violet Tremain Capacity: 6 Disciplines: vic dom tha pre Clan: Tzimisce Card Text: Sabbat Bishop: If Violet successfully inflicts at least 2 hand damage to an opposing vampire during combat, reduce that vampire's capacity by 1 at the end of combat. A vampire's capacity cannot be reduced below 0 in this way. Artist: Pete Venters Rarity: Vampire She doesn't say I get younger, but I would assume I do. Also, Wrath of the Inner Circle. Card Title: Wrath of the Inner Circle Card Type: Political Action Card Text: Called by any Inner Circle member at +1 stealth. Political Card-Worth 1 Vote Choose a ready Justicar. If the vote is successful, put this card on that Justicar. The Justicar forfeits his or her title, and his or her capacity decreases by 1. (A vampire's capacity cannot go below 1.) Artist: Ron Spencer Rarity: Uncommon Also, why will Violet take me down to 0 (meaning I can do nothing but hunt every turn and have the blood drain off), but Wrath of the Inner Circle will leave me at 1 capacity. Now, onto Burn Blood effects. I know that, for instance, if I am told to burn a blood and can't (with, say, Blood to Water) that I just ignore it. What happens with things like Society of Leopold? Card Title: Society of Leopold Pool: n/a Clan/Discip.: n/a Card Type: Master Card Text: Unique Master Put this card on a vampire. During his or her controller's untap phase, the vampire with this card either burns 1 blood or is burned (the controller's choice). A vampire with this card can put it on any other vampire as a +1 stealth (D) action. Artist: L. A. Williams Rarity: Rare If I have no blood can I just choose to burn a blood which, since I can't do it, I ignore and don't go into torpor because it wasn't damage? We weren't completely sure, though we thought that in this case it did mean that you *had* to burn a blood or be burned. If it is this, it might be wise to reword this and similar cards so that the vampire with the card on has to pay 1 blood or move 1 blood from themselves to the blood bank or be burned, or something that didn't get mixed in with the Burn Blood effects. -- James Coupe (remove .nospam to reply) Some people do it for compassion, Some people do it for the fashion Some people do it to be funny, Some people do it for the money Some people do it for enslavement, Some people do it on the pavement Some people do it for enjoyment, Some people do it for employment

When unspecified, always exclude uncontrolled/contested cards. When unspecified, always include other Methuselahs' cards. > Now the third point second. On the discipline cards the words "the > vampire is one generation older" are there. It does say in the rules > that a vampire's age is related to his capacity The only measure of age in the card game is capacity. The skill card increases the capacity of the vampire by one, as indicated by the red-circle "+1" in the lower right corner. > what happens when I lose a capacity, as in > Violet Tremain She doesn't say I get younger, but I would assume I do. Correct. Age = Capacity. > Also, why will Violet take me down to 0 (meaning I can do nothing but > hunt every turn and have the blood drain off), but Wrath of the Inner > Circle will leave me at 1 capacity. Uh, card text? Seriously, I don't know - but card text should be sufficient. > Now, onto Burn Blood effects. You burn a blood or are burned. If you choose to burn a blood, and cannot, then you still "burn a blood or are burned". Since you haven't burned a blood, you are burned. -- L.
