Just recently, my jyhad group and I played a came where three of the
members (out of five that day) played Tremere/Thaumaturgy decks. One
member tryed to play a Vote Card that most of the Tremere voted against at
first. One player, who had Astrid Thomas under his control decided that
he wanted the vote to pass, thus forcing the other Tremere votes to vote
"for" the vote. Then at the end, one of the other players decided to play
a little Kindred Coersion to change some of the votes and was able to vote
it down, after a bit of discussion. The question that arose was whether
or not the Meth. playing the Coersion could just change Astrid's vote and
thus change all the other Tremere votes or do the other Tremere stay the
same. Secondly, could the reacting Meth. with the Kindred Coersion,
change the votes of another Tremere to be against that of Astrid.
Oh! Another question that we generally have, but have made a house rule to
stop all of the arguing, is with Pulled fang. Two vampires enter combat,
one with fortitude, and do three points of damage to each other. One
vampire plays a Skin of Rock, preventing two of the damage. He then pulls
out a pulled fang on the other vampire. We have decide that the vampire
cannot play the pullled fang because they did the same amount of damage to
each other, even though some of it was prevented. A vampire must DO more
damage than another before a pulled fang is played. I just wanted to see
if this jived with Jyhad(Vampire)
Thanks
Lou

Skin of Rock "prevents" 1/2 damage, the oppurtune word being
"prevent", therefor a Pulled Fangs can be played in conjuncion with
Fortitude. It's a great combo, seeing as both Fortitude and Pulled
Fangs are unfair :)
Pulled Fangs is an ambiguous card, and so I have a few questions
myself. How does it work in conjunction with Rotschecke?(sp?,
another ambiguous card), and can Skin of Rock be used to prevent the
aggravated damgae that Pulled Fangs inflicts? When can Pulle Fangs
be played? Does it occur after damage prevention?
Hope I helped,
Jim

I'll have to put this on the list, but I would say that Astrid influences
the other Tremere if and only if she actually casts votes. If her votes are
canceled, or she is otherwise prohibited from voting, then her hold over the
other Tremere ends. Also, there's no way to override her command over the
other Tremere... the Coercion would not allow a Tremere to override Astrid.

Pulled Fangs counts up how much damage was inflicted (read, not prevented),
so preventing damage will affect who can or can't play Fangs.

That is what we came up with as well. However, when you state "If her
votes are
canceled,...then her hold over the other Tremere ends" are you saying that
if one would cancel Astrid's vote (as per the minor effect of K. Coersion)
then the other Tremere are free to change thier votes back after they have
been influenced by Astrid?
Or, does the rule of not being able to change one's votes after they have
been cast still apply?
Thank for your reply
