Card text:
The Status Perfectus [Anarchs:R2]
Cardtype: Action
+1 stealth action. Requires a ready anarch. Unique.
Put this card in play. During your master phase, you may move 1 blood
from a ready anarch you control to another ready anarch. When a
blocking anarch has just completed combat with an acting minion, you
may tap this card and choose a ready untapped anarch you control other
than the blocking anarch. This anarch taps and enters combat with the
acting minion. The acting minion cannot use any strikes in the first
round of that combat.
Scenario:
Methuselah A has in play:
The Status Perfectus (untapped)
Carter (anarch, 2 blood)
Lolita (anarch, 3 blood)
Methuselah B, meth A's prey, has in play:
Ian Forrestal (anarch, 3 blood)
Meth A taps Carter to bleed Meth B with him.
Ian blocks successfully, and combat ensues. (Ian is now a blocking
anarch)
Both strike hands for 1 and that's all they do. (combat is ended)
According to card text Meth A can now tap The Status Perfectus to have
Lolita engage Carter in combat.
Even though (6.4) says "Whatever caused the combat, it is important to
remember that only ready minions can participate in combat and that
your minions cannot enter combat with any of your other minions"
(1.4) states "Whenever the cards contradict the rules, the cards take
precedence."
So my question is: how is this combat handled until there is an errata
or ruling on Status Perfectus? :)
Thanks in advance,
