When retainers that require a discipline...let's say a Raptor for example :) is transferred by Heidelberg/Shepherd's Innocence, does the retainer "forget" who employed it and then use the new vampire's skill level, or does it remember? The appropriate ruling seemend to be: A discipline-based card that is put into play is put into play at either basic or superior level. Once in play, you can't change which level it was played at, even if you give the vampire that played it a better ability. [TOM 19960403] But I thought I remembered something about the whole "forgetting" thing. Little help? Xian -- I'd tell the world and save my soul, But rain falls down and I feel cold. No, the retainer keeps all life, abilities, etc the same as when it was originally recruited. Similarly, the raptor will not gain any abilities, if it is transfered from a vamp w/ inferior animalism to a vampire w/ superior. -Brian "Xian" <xi...@waste.org> wrote in message news:9L6E5.742$fj.3...@news.uswest.net... The retainer's abilities/lives/etc. do not change when a new minion takes control of him, nor when his controller gains/loses a level of discipline. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
