Last Friday, our group played a 5 hour grudge match and a few questions popped out as a result. First of all, we wasted an hour arguing about diablerie, blood hunts, wyld hunts, and non-camarilla/non-sabbat vampires. I realize that this subject was talked about already, just recently in fact, but I cannot access those postsany longer. So for the sake of our groups sanity... Anyways, these are the rules as I remember them The calling of a blood hunt or a wyld hunt depended on the type of vampire that was diablerized, correct? This would make the most sense since the two clans are immortal enemies after all. 2) Only sabbat vampire can participate in a wyld hunt vote and only camarilla vampire can participate in a blood hunt vote, correct? Well, what about non-camarilla/non-sabbat vampires. If one of them is diablerized, are they just out of luck and cannot call either a blood hunt or a wyld hunt? In which hunt vote can they participate in, blood hunt, wyld hunt, both or neither? There is a vampire, the name of which escapes me, upon which blood hunts cannot be called. Can one call a wyld hunt upon her? Well, the arguments got more complex when some of our group members disagreed with the above two statements and ound nothing in the rulebooks to support them. I will bring those up only if I need to. The other questions deal with timing When does someone play "Blur"? Before or after the original strike's damage resolution phase? This would make a difference when playing a "Skin of Steel" card at Superior Fortitude level. That's it for now, thanks in advance! Lou

Incorrect. A blood hunt is a wild hunt is a blood hunt, etc. The vote to burn due to diablerie is called by a Methuselah, and as such that player may lean any resources he/she has at their disposal. Treat both terms as if they were the same thing, because they are. For the official line, see LSJ's official errata list (faithfully posted the first of each month). >This would make the most sense since the two clans are immortal enemies after all. > 2) Only sabbat vampire can participate in a wyld hunt vote and only camarilla vampire can participate in a blood hunt vote, correct? > Well, what about non-camarilla/non-sabbat vampires. If an independant vamp has/aquires votes, they may be used in the diablerie vote. > There is a vampire, the name of which escapes me, upon which blood hunts cannot be called. Can one call a wyld hunt upon her? Muaziz may not be burned by a vote consequential to performing diablerie. > Well, the arguments got more complex when some of our group members disagreed with the above two statements and ound nothing > in the rulebooks to support them. If the articles have expired from your server, check www.dejanews.com; all articles are archived there. > The calling of a blood hunt or a wyld hunt depended on the type of vampire that was diablerized, correct? No. Wildhunt and Bloodhunt are two names for the same thing: a post-diablerie hunt to destroy a vampire. The name you call this hunt is immaterial to the card game, although one normally calls the hunt a "Bloodhunt" when the diabolist is Camarilla, and one calls the hunt a "Wildhunt" when the diabolist is Sabbat. That is the extent of the differences, however. The hunt is conducted in the same manner regardless of the sect of the diabolist and/or the name by which the hunt is called. > Well, what about non-camarilla/non-sabbat vampires. If one of them is diablerized, are they just out of luck and cannot call either a blood hunt or a wyld hunt? A hunt may be called. Either name may be used. > In which hunt vote can they participate in, blood hunt, wyld hunt, both or neither? Both (since both are actually the same thing). > There is a vampire, the name of which escapes me, upon which blood hunts cannot be called. Can one call a wyld hunt upon her? No. > The other questions deal with timing > When does someone play "Blur"? Before or after the original strike's damage resolution phase? This would make a difference when playing a "Skin of Steel" card at Superior Fortitude level. After. Additional strike gaining is done after the initial strike phase has finished completely (just before the Press phase would normally begin). -- L.
