What events is V:EKN holding at Gen Con? I'm rather disappointed that I haven't heard a word about anything from V:EKN yet.... -- Mike Bohlmann, MAIP My Sucky Web Site - http://www.shout.net/~mbohlman/ -----== Posted via Deja News, The Leader in Internet Discussion ==----- http://www.dejanews.com/rg_mkgrp.xp Create Your Own Free Member Forum

Well, I'm debating whether I'm going to go play Jyhad there on Saturday... I _really_ don't want to be the only person arguing with lots of other people as to why we should be using the new rulings that they've never heard of before. And since LSJ isn't going to be there, it's likely that whoever _is_ running the event will be some clueless moron like Origins '97. James -- James Hamblin ham...@math.wisc.edu

[ quoted text not captured ] The eternal optimist, eh? :-) According to my sources: If things go according to plan, the WotC VTES games at Gen*Con will be run by Tom Wylie or Shawn Carnes. And whichever it is, he will have a copy of the most recent rules/rulings/errata with him. -- L. Scott Johnson (vte...@wizards.com) VTES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast. I'd like to meet some of the people on this ng face-to-face. As long as I'm not playing in an L5R tournament at the same time, I'll be at the Jyhad tournament and will personally yell at anyone who doesn't want to follow the new rulings. -Chris [ quoted text not captured ]

V:EKN doesn't run or sanction events. The DCI has resumed doing this. The DCI will be running the Gen Con event just like they ran Origins. > > Well, I'm debating whether I'm going to go play Jyhad there on > > Saturday... You seem to have missed the reports that spoke well of Origins 98. We have no reason to believe it won't be run as well. -- Robert Goudie, Chairman rrgo...@earthlink.net Vampire: Elder Kindred Network http://madnessnetwork.hexagon.net _________________________________________________________________ The Official Vampire: the Eternal Struggle Players' Organization

And there was a large number of people who seemed on the verge of violent revolt when told that we would be using the 6/23 rulings. Still others were upset that we were not using the (really) old 6CL tourney rules. <sigh> [ quoted text not captured ]

[ quoted text not captured ] The prior poster was saying that the event would be run as poorly as Origins 97. If Shawn Carnes followed the current rules and rulings then I'd say he did a damn fine job--disgruntled players aside. The event will again be run the way it should be run, according to the official rules, rulings and errata. [ quoted text not captured ]
