-> 3) In the basic rules, a vampire is burned only if you steal more -> blood than it has. I assume you meant, "stealing blood only burns a vampire if you steal more blood than it has." The above sorta implies that stealing blood is the _only_ way to burn a vamp in basic rules (i.e. punching him won't). -> 5) If a vampire blocks an Archon, he or she burns 1 blood regardless -> of which action the Archon was taking. (The use of the semi-colon in -> the V:TES text implies that the point of blood is burned only when -> the Archon is using his or her rush ability.) Archon costs the Methuselah pool, not blood from the vamp.

In Jyhad, stealing blood couldn't send a vampire to torpor so I assume it couldn't burn one either. Has this been changed for V:TES, or is this just a simplification in the basic rules? (I thought the basic rules had steal blood treated as a normal strike) Has there ever been released a list of changes between Jyhad and V:TES? I really have no desire to read the V:TES rulebook to find all the little changes.

Yes, it is a silly simplification of the crippled rules. Nil carborundum illigitimi, James R. McClure Jr. The OS/2 Apostle <insert disclaimer here>

(I thought the basic rules had steal >blood treated as a normal strike) I am interested in the answer to this also. Stealing Blood can burn a vamp in the VTES basic rules, but this question is not addressed (in fact stealing blood is barely even mentioned) in the advanced rules, which (to me) implies that stealing blood can send a vamp to torpor. What's the real scoop on this? Tom? It's already come up in one game... -Elfholme -- ****************************************************************************** This bit of wisdom has been brought to you by: Mark Havener Lord of elfh...@netcom.com Wood Elf King (and Jyhad player extraordinaire!) ******************************************************************************
