Hi, some questions When you call a referendum, did I replace the original vote card? I read in the rules that you don't replace any card (including even if you tap the barrens). Well, and a confirmation, while in a referendum, you can use all the vote cards you have in hand right? Because we use to play with the "only one vote card per Matusalen". Well.. that's all thanks and sorry for my English.. I'm spanish bye Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

You replace it immediately, then proceed to checking for blocks. Only after no blocks are successful do you proceed to the referendum, and it is then that the no replace effect begins. If it didn't work this way, no one could replace cards during the block attempts, or subsequent combats...that would be Strange and Bad(tm). The Barrens bit you said above is true, so you have to opt to use it before entering the referendum, which you may do _after_ all potential blocks are declared and resolved. >Well, and a confirmation, while in a referendum, you can use all the >vote cards you have in hand right? The acting Meth's initial action counts towards this limit. Weenie vote pitch was seen as a huge imbalance in the tournament game. Your play group is not compelled to follow this rule, unless participating in a DCI sanctioned tournament... >Well.. that's all thanks and sorry for my English.. Cards are not replaced *during* the referendum, but are replaced normally before the referendum begins (and after it ends). > >Well, and a confirmation, while in a referendum, you can use all the > >vote cards you have in hand right? It applies to all games, DCI tournament rules or not. [6.3.3.1] -- LSJ (vte...@wizards.com) V:TES Net.Rep for Wizards of the Coast.
