Contesting Cards on Cards

This came up in a JOL game recently. Meth A played Fame on Vamp B controlled by Meth B. Meth B played Fame on Vamp C controlled by Meth C. Meth B influenced out his own copy of Vamp C, contesting with Meth C. Is the Fame still contested now that both copies of Vamp C are contested (and out of play) too? Does this statement "Contested cards are only out of play with respect to everything except being further contested" play into the equation at all, or is that statement only relevant with respect to a three-way contest? Thanks in advance. Jeff

Contested, yes. See a similar example you gave in '02 to confirm this ruling: http://groups.google.com/group/rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad/msg/a98897572c594291
