Does Muricia's call really require both ani and spi? i thought it was ani OR spi, but the online card text, and ELDB, are trying to tell me it's both. at the same time. I traded mine away recently so don't have it on hand to check, so could someone check that for me? Also, Blood To Water says 'only usable at close range, before strike resolution.' My predator (acting methuselah) played it just after I chose my strike. which was cheeky, but as far as i could see was perfectly legal (just from card text). Is there a ruling on that, or is Blood to Water better than i thought? :) thanks, salem domain:canberra http://www.geocities.com/salem_christ.geo/vtes.htm

Just like you can wait for strikes before you pull out your Wolf Claws. In fact it would be better pre-strike because that would (potentially) prevent your opponent from playing a strike card with a cost -spending it is unlikely to take them down to 5 blood: more likely they are already there or too full for it to matter. NB it's only playable in second round and is not a strike: Shotgun Ritual won't help sadly. It also costs 2 blood. AND it's not damage so youcan't use Taste of Vitae on it. Wind Dance, Telepathic tracking, Walk of Flame, Blood to Water (x2 if necessary) would be pretty powerful but that's a 4-card combo so hardly overpowered. You'd probably want a Maneuver in there to avoid being grappled too...

It requires both. Online card text is correct. > Also, Blood To Water says 'only usable at close range, before strike > resolution.' > My predator (acting methuselah) played it just after I chose my > strike. which was cheeky, but as far as i could see was perfectly > legal (just from card text). Perfectly legal, yes. > Is there a ruling on that, or is Blood to Water better than i thought? > :) Yes. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. There is an animalism only level, and two levels that require both disciplines. There is not a spiritus only level. >I traded mine away recently so don't have it on hand to check, so >could someone check that for me? Yes. Carpe noctem. Lasombra http://www.TheLasombra.com

I really love the combo Anathema->Rebekka Rushes you, Majesty+Telepathic Tracking+2xblood to water: Game over whoever you are, oh! and Rebekka is UNTAPPED. You will need a few maneuvers to move closer on the second round. Sure, ought to equip her with the Ankara, in order to spend only 2 blood instead of 6... And manage somegow to pull those anathema votes. Lucinde, Victorine and the Prince of Barcelona as the power-voters? Smiling Tom

I meant for the first round so that you could dodge at long range. Grapple won't bother your BtW. > I really love the combo Anathema->Rebekka Rushes you, Majesty+Telepathic > Tracking+2xblood to water: Game over whoever you are, oh! and Rebekka is > UNTAPPED. Passing Anathemas is tricky -Awe+Voter Cap would be good though -after all Anathema just doesn't give you that much pool ;D
