Hi folks, I was wondering if anyone knows about any Jyhad Tournaments at this years UK Gen - Con (30th Aug - 2 Sept, Olympia 2). I have just received a mailing about it, and I am keen to go, and would love to play some Jyhad (I will have at least a couple of decks with me anyway). Unfortunately, nothing was mentioned in the literature, or on the web-site. If anyone knows anything, please let me know, as I would feel it a waste to go for more than 1 - 2 days if I only get to play Vampire: The Masquerade and a little (dare I say it) Magic. We all know that Jyhad os better than Magic, surely we can't let the only game played there be that. Andy Setite Ruler of Cambridge http://www.geocities.com/setitesuk

There's the "National Cup" tournament on September 1st - it's up on the V:TES Sanctioned Tournament calendar: http://calendar.yahoo.com/vtesrep/ -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Andy, old chap, and anyone else coming to the UK Gencon, I can assure you that we are going to have a veritable feast of VTES related fun at this years event. The big event is the VTES UK National Cup event, which will be going on from 10am until about 7pm in the Esdevium hall. Registration will be from about 9am. This is the biggest event in the UK VEKN calender, where all the luminaries come out to try and pound each other into a messy pulp. We have guranteed space for at least 32 people this year, so it should be good (last year 30 people attended, this year we are looking for more, clearly!). Regitration details are just being sorted out as we speak, so it will all become clear in a few days... just hang in there! We are also working on a few other events over the weekend. These have yet to be fully confirmed, but read thus: Thursday - VTES Sealed Deck / Draft Friday - Clan War and not to mention that over the weekend, it is traditional that the best players meet up in between events to play some very curious games (going on until the wee hours). Last year, we were up all night... It will be a good 'un. But full details will be coming very soon. DH

Count me in on Sundays Big Event (and I don't mean the PTQ New Orleans). I'm planning to be roleplaying Vampire on Friday 8pm, but from then on I'll be in a very bloodthirsty mood, so come one, come all and try to diablerise me. I dare you. But each Methuselah in the tournament gains one additional vote in the ensuing Blood Hunt, per [6.5.7] in the Final Nights rulebook. -- Derek Maintenance: Keep the balls dry and clean and prevent them from violent collisions. There is *definitely* going to be a national constructed event on Sat 1st Sept which will be held in the Esdevium playing area (a huge thanks to Esdevium for the help there). It is also *likely* that there will be additional events over the rest of the con from Thur to Sun, but we are still waiting final confirmation and approval of our plans. WotC UK have just finished a move of premises from Maidenhead to Heathrow, and before that most of their staff were organising big Magic events in the UK and overseas. Hence most of the organisation of the con is late in happening anyway... Dave Hammond (dave...@hotmail.com) is the primary contact and organiser for the VEKN events at GenCon UK if you need to contact anyone. I'll add your name and e-mail address to the list of 'interested parties' we have on file for the convention. Regards, Mike Nudd VEKN Prince of London
