Yesterday a doubt arised during gameplay. Selena (4-5 blood on her) was in combat with a !Malk (5 blood on him/her), the !Malk being the acting minion. Selena played Thoughts betrayed at inferior (bad move, granted), her player believing his opponent had no Coma in his hand. Well it turned out he did have one, and the !malk played it, paying all 3 blood for it. As a response, Selena played a theft of vitae. Thus, the question is: the !malk goes to torpor (he spends 3 blood on the Coma, gets his two remaining blood stolen and then suffers an additional damage from the TB), or he just gets first the damage from the TB at inferior and THEN gets stealed the remaining blood? Thanks in advance! Andrés Valenzuela

Strike resolution happens before damage handling, so the blood gets thefted before the !Malk can use it to heal damage. He ends up in torpor.

Damage handling is part of strike resolution. However, it's handled after the effects of other strikes are applied. For clarification, see 6.4.3, Resolve Strike. -- James Coupe PGP Key: 0x5D623D5D YOU ARE IN ERROR. EBD690ECD7A1FB457CA2 NO-ONE IS SCREAMING. 13D7E668C3695D623D5D THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION.
