Hi folks. It was once ruled that stealing blood from a vampire and bring him down to zero blood caused the affected vampire to be burned. I think it was in the V:TES rulebook from 1995, but it's not ruled like this in the rulebook we find at the WW-VEKN website. What's the official ruling? Thanks Jean-Francois Caron

In article <399C1DE2...@netrover.com>, [ quoted text not captured ] It won't burn him, and I can't remember this was the rule in the V:TES rulebook from 1995 either. If you steal blood and the affected vampire doesn't have enough blood, you steal whatever he has and that's it. If you steal 2 blood and he has 0, then you get 0 and nothing happens to that vampire (he can never go to torpor through this). Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

What's the official ruling? Hitting 0 blood from a Theft (or whatever) leaves you at 0 blood - but won't send you to torpor without someone doing some damage, because steal blood never counts as damage. -- James Coupe | PGP Key 0x5D623D5D | ja...@zephyr.org.uk (New e-mail) "Who'd have ever predicted the moment would come when I find myself grateful they've kept women dumb? This was only a rule in the "Basic Game" whose rules were published in the rulebook that came with the VTES starters. This was for sealed deck games where you took out all the cards that gave intercept and all the cards that granted stealth before you started playing. It has never been a rule for the real game. You cannot burn a vampire by stealing blood, nor by burning blood. You can only burn a vampire thru: Diablerie Aggravated Damage Anathema Antediluvian Awakening Akhenaten, The Sun Pharaoh Archon Investigation Dauntain Black Magician Decapitate Fear of Mekhet Golconda: Inner Peace Judgement: Death to the Brujah! The rulebook from 1995 was divided into a "basic" game and "full" or "advanced" game. The "steal-all-blood-and-burn-the-vampire" rule was intended to be part of *only* the basic game. The advanced rules, however, failed to note that the advanced rules were different in that regard. That rulebook was quickly errata'ed to say that stealing all of a vampire's blood would not burn him in the advanced game. The current rules do not include a "basic" game, and steal all of a vampire's blood will not burn him. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. In article <+g9cgWBZ...@obeah.demon.co.uk>, [ quoted text not captured ] Umm I mixed up Order of Herme's ability with Kherebutu I think. Because Kherebutu can burn a Tremere (below 6 or somehting) as an action..can't he? Wells oemone can, I'm too lazy to check the cards up =P [ quoted text not captured ]
