Two questions which came up in my playgroup in the last weeks: First question : When you call a political referendum, you theoretically can discard a political card from your hand to gain a vote, but only *one* per referendum. As you are the acting minion however, you already *have* played a political card, i.e. the one with which you called the referendum. Does that mean that you cannot discard another political card from your hand to get a vote, or not ? Second question : Tyler diablerizes Arika, and theoretically gains ( or should that be "loses" ?) one generation. However in my deck there are no skill cards she could use, as I only put CEL and POT skill cards into it, and she already has both at superior. Is she considered to have gained capacity 10 even without me having put a skill card on her ? Thanks! :) Magnus

Right, the acting minion's methuselah cannot gain another political card. > Second question : > Tyler diablerizes Arika, and theoretically gains ( or should that be > "loses" ?) one generation. No. The vampire's capacity will only increase due to the cardtext on the discipline card, it does not happen due to the diablerie itself. Flux

However, if you called a vote to burn an Anarch Revolt or Legendary Vampire, you could also toss a Political Action card in this type of Referendum. Jeff

Of course, as Jeff Kuta notes in his own reply, if the referendum was called using a card in play, then the acting Methsulah is free to burn her one political action during the referendum to gain her one PA-based vote. > > Second question : > > Tyler diablerizes Arika, and theoretically gains ( or should that be > > "loses" ?) one generation. And you can burn an additional PA card for a vote if you're calling an Echo-of-Harmonies'ed vote that was placed on a Daughter of Cacophony, correct? (since that PA card doesn't count as a vote itself)

LSJ

[ quoted text not captured ] Correct, as above ("card in play"). [ quoted text not captured ]
