Hello :)
Here comes today's stupid question:
Some Methuselah played a Last Stand. And some other played a First
Tradition, and both are still in play.
My prey has 2 pool, and will likely not survive another turn of play
(let's say I'm the only one left with ready minions). She decides to
die paying for the First Tradition.
Is Last Stand burned?
The point is that Last Stand's "current turn" does not exist.
cardtexts :
First Tradition: The Masquerade [Jyhad:R2, VTES:R, CE:R]
First Tradition: The Masquerade, The
Cardtype: Political Action
<Requires a> prince or justicar.
If this referendum is successful, put this card in play. While in
play, each Methuselah must skip his or her turn or burn 2 pool. Burn
this card when you have either skipped 3 turns or paid 6 pool in
cumulative penalties.
Last Stand [BH:R]
Cardtype: Master
Cost: 6 pool
Unique master.
Put this card in play. When any other Methuselah is ousted, the
current turn ends, and this card is burned. The predator of the ousted
Methuselah (if more than one was ousted, go clockwise from the left of
the Methuselah whose turn just ended) takes the next turn.

IANLSJ, but I would say that, given that he paid the 2 pool,
he decided not to skip his turn. Therefore the "current turn" exists
and he gets ousted in it, hence Last Stand kicks in.

No current turn exists at the time of the ousting, but that doesn't prevent the
rest of the effect:
This card (Last Stand) is burned.
The predator of the ousted Methuselah (floppyzedolphin in this case) takes the
next turn.
<Caution : Stepping on the dark paths within my head>
Be prepared.
My prey has 1 pool. My grand predator has 1 pool. We are still 5 at
this table. First Tradition and Last Stand are in play.
I skipped my turn. My prey decides not to skip her turn, so she burns
2 pool. My predator plays Life Boon, for 1, on my prey.
Both my predator and my prey are ousted when it is no-one's turn. Last
Stand burns, as it has been explained.
(I might be wrong here, I expect both Methuselah to be ousted at the
same time.)
Case A - My grand predator had payed the 2 pool tax, but not my grand
prey.
Who gets the next turn? I'd say my grand predator (and actual
predator).
Case B - My grand prey did pay the tax, but not my grand predator.
Who gets the next turn? I'd say my grand prey (and actual prey).
[The point, this time, is to know whose turn just ended.]
I'm sure there could be more complicated cases. But I'll keep my
questions to likely to happen examples :-)

The rulebook suggests Life Boon wouldn't be playable. Out-of-turn
masters aren't played when it's "not your turn" (and hence "no-one's
turn" is "not your turn"). Instead, they're played "during other
players' turns" (1.6.2).
1.6.2.4: "You may play an out-of-turn master card whenever appropriate
during another player's turn."
Glossary: "Out-of-Turn Master Card: A type of master card that can only
be played during another player's turn, using the next master phase
action of the player playing it."

True enough.
Other illegal activities in the set-up:
1) Prey with 1 pool cannot burn 2 pool to take her turn. She must skip.
2) Life Boon cannot be played for 1 when the target needs more than 1 to remain
in the game. Card text: "Give pool to a Methuselah with no pool to keep him or
her in the game..."
