Hi all, 1)Elimelech the Twice-Damned is equipped with Ivory bow and in combat declares his strike:"Ivory bow with first strike" and opossing vampire plays Canine horde at superior. Does Cannine horde destroys Ivory bow? Does it matter who is acting minion? 2) Elimelech is equipped with Ivory bow and Enkil cog, acts in other players turn and is blocked by vampire B. He declares his strike:"Ivory bow with first strike / Rotschreck" and vampire B plays Canine horde at superior. What happens, can Cannine horde destroy Ivory bow before Rotschreck takes effect? Again, does it matter who is acting minion? Elimelech the Twice-Damned Clan: Ventrue antitribu (group 5) Capacity: 11 Disciplines: AUS DEM DOM FOR OBF pro Sabbat. Black Hand. Seraph: Elimelech strikes with first strike. +1 bleed. +1 strength. Rotschreck Type: Master Master: out-of-turn. Frenzy. Put this card on a vampire when an opposing minion attempts to inflict aggravated damage on him or her, whether the damage would be successfully inflicted or not. Combat ends. This vampire is tapped and sent to torpor. This vampire does not untap as normal. During this vampire's next untap phase, burn this card. Canine Horde Type: Combat Requires: Animalism [ani] Strike: 1R damage. [ANI] Strike: ranged; destroy equipment with first strike. Ivory Bow Type: Equipment Cost: 1 pool Unique weapon. Strike: 1R aggravated damage.

Again, does it matter who is > acting minion? Rotschreck ends combat immediately, before either strike resolves. So the Bow is not burned by the non-resolving Canine Horde, in the same way as when striking with a Gun + DBR and playing Rotschreck the gun doesn't burn. -- J

So Ivory bow makes aggravated damage and is destroyed at the same time? [ quoted text not captured ]

If Elimelech did the same thing against someone playing Shattering Blow at inferior(strike: destroy equipment), he would inflict the agg before his opponent's strike took effect. If there is no first strike involved, dorkus 1 strikes with the bow without first strike against dorkus 2's shattering blow at pot, the bow is destroyed and dorkus 2 takes 1 agg. First strike > not First Strike First strike = First Strike One good thing to note is that First Strike < Dodge, prevent, S:CE, making it pretty crappy most of the time. > 2) Elimelech is equipped with Ivory bow and Enkil cog, acts in other > players turn and is blocked by vampire B. It's like Elimelech says " I've got a bow!" and the opposing minion says "Oh, shit!" and runs away to torpor. Psyche and Telepathic Tracking complicate this, but you get the idea. Brandon
