Question on TB came up over the weekend. The new text of TB says, "Opposing minion cannot play any strike cards for the duration of this combat". Does this prevent the playing of additional strikes (Blur, Pursuit, etc.) or just cards containing "Strike:X"? Thanks, Dan Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/

Only strike cards are restricted. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) VTES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. [ quoted text not captured ] He can't play strike -cards- with those additionals. But he could certainly have played Torn Signpost earlier, and a Blur now, and swat you for 9 total... since those aren't strike cards. -- Derek Goon-of-the-Month club member "In a MAN's game, you tap things that block." -- F. Right now, there are two different scenarios: Thoughts Betrayed prevents the playing of strike cards. Alternatively, Hidden Lurker and Fast Reaction prevent the opponent from using any strikes altogether. In both situations, the opposing vampire may play cards to grant them additional strikes. With Thoughts Betrayed, you cannot play any strike cards but you can still strike with hands, strike with weapons, strike with any special abilities you have, etc. If you get additional strikes, those additional strikes must adhere to the same limitation. With Fast Reaction or Hidden Lurker, you can't play or use strikes period. Not only can you not play cards, you also can't use equipment, or even strike with hands (I guess you're too surprised to do anything). And while you can also gain additional strikes, you can't actually strike with the additionals. Hope that helps! Halcyan 2

He cannot play strike cards (card text). He is not prohibited from striking, though. > hand or equipment that has on him??, it can play strikes for his hand > only or can't strike at all?? He can strike, since there's nothing to indicate that he cannot. He can use weapons, since there's nothing to indicate that he cannot. > by the way, with fast reaction that says he can strike in the first > round, he cant strike at all or as above use equipment or his hand?, > he prevents from using strike cards from his hand but can use other > cards from hand?? Fast reaction says he cannot use any strikes, so he can't use any strikes. Since hand strike is a strike, he cannot use that. Since weapon strikes are strikes, he cannot use those. And while you can also I'm always surprised when someone plays Fast Reactions. :) Xian
