LSJ combat question

hi LSJ ! i need your help on this : Two vamps in combat : Lambach and Beast (i love those mini scenarii) Beast is *Blocking* before range, Beast plays Torn signpost, raising strength to 4 Ranges stays close. Lambach then plays sup "Blood of Acid". Strike declaration : Lambach plays sup "Scorpion Sting". Can then Beast play a "behind you" -Strike : Dodge, with no effect, to avoid being burned ? or is he commited to play something other than dodge by sup. scorpion sting ?
