my guess is that if Saxum changes to a ventrue via Clan Impersonation, he still retains being a tremere slave due to card text. most things work that way, but assamites lose the blood curse if they CI any other clan. i think this is because it's actually listed in the rulebook (6.5.5) that the condition is clan-based. and many times, the bloodlines Additional Rules for VTES implies that only gargoyles can be slaves (3.9) making that condition clan-based as well. Only Gargoyles get to interpose for their masters. But slave vampires are limited to undirected action without their masters.
