I came across something that I'm not too sure about. If you play a card (ie an action modifier such as Aire of Elation or Lost in Crowds) do you have to replace the card immediately? Can you wait until the current action is completed? The reason I'm wondering is for Carlotta's special ability and Whispers from the Dead. Both say to discard down to maximum hand size after the action is completed. What I'm wondering is can you not replace the Whispers and not discard anything or in Carlotta's case if you used a stealth card to get the action through can you leave that extra spot in the hand open? I'm trying to build a very small and tight necromany deck and every card is precious. To avoid being forced to withdraw (according to the new rules) keeping as many cards in the deck is important. Anybody know the answer? Jeff

[ quoted text not captured ] AFAIK, you must replace the card immediatly, unless it tells you not to replace it till later. In response to your particular situation, I would say, include a small number of cards that are powerful in a limited situation (Malk Dementia, and other clan/situation hosers). If the situation does not come up, feed the card to Carlotta. darkstar -------------------==== Posted via Deja News ====----------------------- http://www.dejanews.com/ Search, Read, Post to Usenet

Unless a card states otherwise, you always refill your hand to its maximum hand size, and discard down to your maximum hand size if you have too many or too few cards in hand. >The reason I'm wondering is for Carlotta's special ability and Whispers >from the Dead. I hate them, and in the last tournament I ran(this week, in fact) I used the old withdrawal rules. One player actually managed to withdraw, amazingly enough. There's a first time for everything. The only exception to this is Deal with the Devil, which is not replaced before its effect takes place. [RTR] -- L.
