Hi ! (its "question night" i guess) To which extent equipment cannot be used in combat when opposing vampire plays Drawing out the beast ? because "cannot *use* equipment" is quite ambiguous. guess i cannot burn Blood tears to prevent damage or gain blood ? guess hand of conrad has no effect (quite strange) how can then the soul gem take effect if the bearer is burned in combat when drawing out the beast has been played ? thank you reyda

I do not agree. > guess i cannot burn Blood tears to prevent damage or gain blood ? Right. > guess hand of conrad has no effect (quite strange) Right. > how can then the soul gem take effect if the bearer is burned in combat when > drawing out the beast has been played ? Because the vampire is burned already, so it is clearly not the case that the vampire is "using" the equipment (burned vampires cannot use equipment). http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=3B63F2DD.CB16032B%40white-wolf.com -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Cynthia Ingold (+1 strength against camarilla vampire) is in combat with Kite equipped with a Writ of acceptance. If Cynthia plays drawing out the beast, does she lose the +1 strength bonus from here ability as Kite suddenly becomes a sabbat vampire ? this is the kind of thing that bugs me =/

The card does not distinguish between such types of usage, so the distinction doesn't come into the effect. > Cynthia Ingold (+1 strength against camarilla vampire) is in combat with > Kite equipped with a Writ of acceptance. > If Cynthia plays drawing out the beast, does she lose the +1 strength bonus > from here ability as Kite suddenly becomes a sabbat vampire ? Yes. > this is the kind of thing that bugs me =/ It shouldn't. [ quoted text not captured ]

That would be its only function and therefore that would be 'using' it. > guess hand of conrad has no effect (quite strange) > The hand bearing minion forgets about what his hand can do in his beast induced state? > how can then the soul gem take effect if the bearer is burned in combat when > drawing out the beast has been played ? > Soul gem would trigger once the minion was burned and therefore once combat had ended. .02$ T
