Hi all, most probably this question has already been answered some time, but anyhow... what happens if Derange is played on a vampire with a camarilla title? Can a !Malk be a Prince, or even the Toreador Justicar? thx in advance... cs

[ quoted text not captured ] no a titled camarilla vampire under the effect of derange yields his title immediatly. He is considered Sabbat (malk antitribu) and now can't call camarilla only referendums, nor play Tradition cards. If you put it on a justicar, you can really screw your target's deck. If the Derange is burned, he regains his old title cause he is no more Sabbat.

So when you get Deranged, unless you also have a Writ of Acceptance, you become Sabbat and lose your title. And as Reyda said, if you become Cam again (i.e. by moving the Derange), you regain your title UNLESS it was contested during your vampire's time of Sabbat-ness. If a different vampire acquires that same title while your originally titled vampire is Sabbat, then your vampire immediately yields so when he returns to the Cam, he finds he no longer has a title. No. Unless they have a Writ of Acceptance, any Malkavian Antitribu will be Sabbat by default, and cannot be a Prince, Primogen, Inner Circle, or clan specific Justicar. This is answered in section 10 of the Sabbat War rulebook, quoted here: "A vampire must belong to the appropriate sect to receive a title. If a vampire with a title changes clans or sects to a clan or sect inappropriate for his title, he loses the benefit of the title until his clan or sect changes appropriately. In article <93pl0t$18fc$1...@news6.isdnet.net>, [ quoted text not captured ] Actually, this happened when I played against my own ToGP deck with the Kooks 'n Crooks deck. As I had enough pressure on him early on he only had 2 vampires out of which the Justicar was Deranged 4 times over the game. Pretty much an easy ride. So yet another easy counter to the ToGP decks!
