Old wording of Beretta: "1R damage each strike. If bearer has another Beretta 9mm, this gun inflicts 2R damage each strike, with an optional maneuver each combat (a minion may only use one Beretta 9mm to maneuver each round)." New wording of Beretta: "Strike: 1R damage. Or, if bearer has another Beretta 9mm, strike: 2R damage, with an optional maneuver each combat (a minion may use only one Beretta 9mm to maneuver each round)." With the new wording, it makes it sound like "2R with an optional maneuver" is now optional. Is that true? Can I now choose to strike for 1R without a maneuver even if I have 2 Berettas?

[ quoted text not captured ] No. If you have another Beretta 9mm, it is "strike: 2R damage, with an optional maneuver."

Judging from the updates on the other weapons (Sengir Dagger, Ivory Bow, Mark V, Talbot's Chainsaw, etc), this seems to be a move towards making all weapons follow the "Strike: effect" template that combat strikes use. A few weapons were already doing this (eg Nightstick)... and now it appears that all weapons will be upgraded to this format as they are reprinted. Brent Ross
