Scott, I was thinking that superior Withering prevents you from playing any Fortitude prevention against the strike. Is this true? Comments Welcome, Norman S. Brown, Jr XZealot Archon of the Swamp

Similar case for Flesh of Marble from Protean?

[ quoted text not captured ] IANLSJ, but Withering only prevents you from playing cards requiring disciplines, it doesn't prevent you using the effect of a card already played. I believe that all cards requiring disciplines played prior to the effect of Withering are still in effect (assuming they have some sort of lingering effect, like Carrion crows, Drawing out the beast, Unflinching persistence, Torn signpost etc.). You wouldn't be able to use Skin of Night though, since the prevention effect of that card is immediate (it's not 'this vampire may prevent 1 damage during this round'). Skin of Night Card Text: This vampire treats aggravated damage as normal damage for the remainder of this round. As above, and prevent 1 damage. If I'm wrong, you are allowed to taunt me into oblivion for being an arrogant V:TES player, who thinks he is uber skilled in the fine arts of the rules of the game ;) /M

The question above is whether Withering prevents playing, not using. > Example Skin of Night or Unflinching persistence? > Similar case for Flesh of Marble from Protean? -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
