[LSJ] Chanjelin Ward played on non-Kiasyd

Chanjelin Ward - "Put this card on a vampire you control. Actions directed at this vampire costs an additional blood. This vampire can burn this card to cause an action directed at him or her to fail. A vampire may have only one Chanjelin Ward." Just wanted to confirm that all you need is a ready controlled Kiasyd and you can play this on any of your vampires. So for example if you have a ready Kiasyd you can play a Chanjelin Ward on Henri Lavenant.
