just wondering, when using hrothulf's 'burn edge to enter combat ... as a (D) action' ability, do you burn the edge for the attempt, or only if the action is successfull (like a blood cost, etc)? thanks, salem domain:canberra http://www.geocities.com/salem_christ.geo/vtes.htm

Mr. Coupe? Lasombra, The? are there precedents? i can't find squat in google. but then i am bad at searching..... i am asuming whatever answer i get carries over to outferior Rayzeel's Song "burn one blood to untap an ally", which for some reason seems really obvious you only burn the blood if the action is successful. but hrofruffrthl's doesn't. weird. It is not a cost. He cannot even attempt the action until he burns the edge. "If you control the Edge, Hrothulf can burn it ..." LSJ was at tournaments far from his home all weekend, you will probably see an official answer on Monday. Carpe noctem. Lasombra http://www.TheLasombra.com
