OK, call me slow, but can a vampire burned by Might of the Camerilla (or indeed by Goodnight Sweet Prince or Sabbat Inquisitor) have his soul redeemed by Redeem the Lost Soul? I'm guessing yes. Cheers DH Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/

Card texts: Might Of The Camarilla Worth 1 vote. Called by any Justicar or Inner Circle member at +1 stealth. If this referendum is successful, each Methuselah chooses one vampire in his or her uncontrolled region and burns him or her. Goodnight, Sweet Prince Only usable if you have at least one untapped Ravnos in play. Tap one of your Ravnos. Move the next vampire in the crypt of any Methuselah to that Methuselah's ash heap. If the vampire you place in the ash heap is a Prince, gain 2 pool. Sabbat Inquisitor Worth 1 Vote. Called by any Archbishop or Cardinal at +1 stealth. Choose any Sabbat vampire who is not an Inquisitor. Successful referendum means that vampire is an Inquisitor; put this card on that vampire. He or she gets +1 bleed on each bleed action. As a (D) action, he or she may look at the top vampire of any Methuselah's crypt; if that vampire has Thaumaturgy, burn that card. This card can be burned with a successful referendum called by any Sabbat vampire at +1 stealth. Redeem The Lost Soul Choose a vampire in your ash heap. Gain X pool, where X is half of the blood capacity of that vampire (round down). Remove that vampire from the game. Burned cards are put in the ash heap (Rulebook 1.1.2), which is targeted by Redeem The Lost Soul. Wow, talk about a cheap pool gain - get a sabbat inquisitor, load up with expensive thau vamps in your crypt, burn a couple, get 4 - 5 pool back every turn at no cost! Great for Anarch Revolt decks, since it is less risky than getting bloat off a vampire and you still hurt everyone. Even funnier if you can get away with a few Might of the Camerilla votes! Everyone loses vamps from their uncontrolled region, but only you get any benefit from it (via Redeem...). This is so stupid it might just work... DH [ quoted text not captured ]

In article <9471j8$810$1...@nnrp1.deja.com>, [ quoted text not captured ] Xian (and some others) played witht he idea of a Goodnight, Sweet Prince deck a while back. The idea actually was not to use Redeem... for pool gain (that''s just a secondary strategy), but to possess the burned prince into play, thus geting big guys at no cost. The setup was a bit elaborate, but I think Xian tried it once in JOL. I am toying with Might Of The Camarilla for the same idea, but never went far because I just own one copy. So here again a shameless "Anyone wanting to trade Might Of The Camarilla with me?" ;-) I might post the concept in one of the next Brujah newsletters. Sabbat Inquisitor looks funny as well, at least Enzo and *shudder* Patrizia have Tha, so a Lasombra/Giovanni/!Tremere thing might be workable - Antonio Delgado, Enzo, Ethan, Kij Danski and Aylea all share a good amount of disciplines, include Necro skill cards for the Possessions and get going. Hmmm.... I've seen the posts, but it suffers from being, as you say, a royal pain in the ass to get going - too many variables. > I am toying with Might Of The Camarilla for the same idea, but never went far > because I just own one copy. This could work quite well with Arika, Leandro, and Gwendolyn. Add lots of multiples and Tombs, Minion Taps, Voter Caps and a few Ansons / Parthenons. What I was really thinking of was a combo of the Prince of Paris stealing blood, voting Banishments, and Might-ing (for cammies) and Protect Thine Own for non Cammies. Burn everything without getting your hands dirty! Then you could Mark of the Damned and change places to oust people. A bit tricky, but a pure vote deck with enormous power. > Sabbat Inquisitor looks funny as well, at least Enzo and *shudder* Patrizia > have Tha, so a Lasombra/Giovanni/!Tremere thing might be workable - Antonio > Delgado, Enzo, Ethan, Kij Danski and Aylea all share a good amount of > disciplines, include Necro skill cards for the Possessions and get going. > Hmmm.... Don't forget Uncle Ian! ;) Again, a bit tricky and fairly fragile - so you get the vampires cheap, then what? It would mean too many working parts to be a useful deck, surely? And actually what do you want Francois for? Just banish and call Might... Biggest problem I see is that everybody you are targeting will start to eat through their crypt really fast, bringing an new vampire into their uncontrolled region every turn as fodder for the Might. Also the Mark Of The Damned thing can be a bit tricky, because everybody who has uncontrolled vampires burns them. > A bit tricky, but a pure vote deck with enormous power. > > > Sabbat Inquisitor looks funny as well, at least Enzo and *shudder* > Patrizia > > have Tha, so a Lasombra/Giovanni/!Tremere thing might be workable - > Antonio > > Delgado, Enzo, Ethan, Kij Danski and Aylea all share a good amount of > > disciplines, include Necro skill cards for the Possessions and get > going. > > Hmmm.... > > Don't forget Uncle Ian! ;) > Yeah, of course... > Again, a bit tricky and fairly fragile - so you get the vampires cheap, > then what? > But you would need the Prince of Paris and one Justicar or preferably Inner > Circle Member (for really effective Protect Thine Own). And actually what do > you want Francois for? Clan: Toreador Capacity: 10 Title: Prince of Paris Ability: Francois may steal up to 2 blood from a younger vampire as a +1 stealth (D) action. +1 bleed. Basically, he steals their blood so that even if you you haven't got the Might of the Camerillas in your hand, you can still cause enough trouble through banishments (maybe hold them off a turn until you do have them). In the worst case, he is a great voter with relevant skills (obf, PRE) and +1 Bleed. Just banish and call Might... Biggest problem I see is > that everybody you are targeting will start to eat through their crypt really > fast, bringing an new vampire into their uncontrolled region every turn as > fodder for the Might. Burning a blood every turn, and using up all their transfers. If you are burning / banishing vamps, that could clog up the whole table easily. Even better with Leondro, since everyone else has to pay extra to bring out vampires. Only those with lots of Effective Managements are going to survive. > Also the Mark Of The Damned thing can be a bit tricky, because everybody who > has uncontrolled vampires burns them. True, but it could get you an oust if you are lucky and bloating correctly. Safer to use bloat votes instead (Political Stranglehold, Ancient Influece, con boons. etc). [ quoted text not captured ]
