Imagine this situation: - I've got two vampires in the active region: Lucian and Normal - I bleed with Lucian using a Govern the Unaligned and Pulse of the Canaille (bleeding for 3+2=5) - The bleed is succesful. - The bleeded methuselah plays an Archon Investigation. Can I play a Mask of 1000 Faces with Normal? What happened then? Thank you, Pablo Alonso, Prince of Palma de Mallorca.

Pablo I don't think Normal can take over the action with Mask because he does not have Dom. New (or confirmed old) rules a while back state the Vamp taking over the action must be able to legally perform it. I think if i remember correctly the ruling came about because of Return to Innocence. Imagine the same example you give but with RtI instead of Gov the Un. Ouch. Nope. Normal couldn't have played the Govern, since he doesn't have Dominate. Therefore he can't take over the action - so Lucian goes p poof. If Normal had a Dominate card, this would be legal. If it was just a Pulse, I believe Normal could actually have taken over the action, since inherent bleed wouldn't carry over after a Mask. Why you'd want to I don't know. But he could. -- Derek Jack-Booted Thug of Atlanta

No, for two reasons: 1) Archon Investigation resolves when played, resulting in a burned Lucian and the end of the action. (Barring Sudden Reversal, of course). 2) Normal cannot Mask an action that he cannot perform - so unless he has a Dominate skill card on him, he cannot mask an action that requires dominate. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) VTES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
