Lot of questions without logic chain

I have some questions that I really want to solve, please, help me ! 1- Crusher - This old warrior is really misleading becouse of his unique ability to "burn one blood to get one dodge"...is this dodge a free not-strike special effect or is simply a different version of Melek's and Bronween special ability ? I mean: if Salinger strike to Crusher, what really happen ? Does Crusher pay one blood to dodge the strike and strike back for free ? or do crusher need a additional strike card to do so (like Bronween)? 2- Telepatic Tracking - The text is confusing...do T.T.superior work just as a "not-counterpressable press to continue" or like a "psike!" clone to restart combat before it ends (or a S:CE resolve) ? 3- Kraken's Kiss 1 - Does the superior KK let you choose between "strike: strenght+1 ranged" and "steal 2 blood ranged", or it grant the vampire a sort of "additional strike" to do both ? 4- Kraken's Kiss 2 - If a vampire successfully steal blood and use the stolen blood to heal wounds...is the healed damage still piling toward the "3 damage per combat = torpor" effect ? And using "Taste of Vitae" ? Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

His dodge is a strike that costs one blood. So cannot play another strike unless playing additional strike-cards. > > 2- Telepatic Tracking - The text is confusing...do T.T.superior work > just as a "not-counterpressable press to continue" or like a "psike!" > clone to restart combat before it ends (or a S:CE resolve) ? It's like a non-counterable press, so no new maneuvers from weapons for example. > > 3- Kraken's Kiss 1 - Does the superior KK let you choose > between "strike: strenght+1 ranged" and "steal 2 blood ranged", or it > grant the vampire a sort of "additional strike" to do both ? I don't have the card in front of me right now, but as I remember it, you only get the str+1 strike the first round. The next rounds thereafter you can steal blood as a strike, or strike with something else of your own choice (but not with the str+1 effect, unless you play anther Kraken's). > > 4- Kraken's Kiss 2 - If a vampire successfully steal blood and use the > stolen blood to heal wounds...is the healed damage still piling toward > the "3 damage per combat = torpor" effect ? > And using "Taste of Vitae" ? The damage is still piled up since the damage was never prevented. You just made sure you had the source to pay the damage you received. [ quoted text not captured ]

let me take a crack at these (someone please correct me if i'm wrong): 1. crusher can burn a blood to dodge as a strike. all dodges are strikes. 2. (telepathic tracking) i can't answer that. the rules team will have to define it... but it looks like no matter why combat is about to end (normal lack of a continuing press or majesty or whatever) there is another round of combat. it is the same combat, so it's not exactly a psyche! clone. 3. (kraken's kiss 1) since it doesn't say "additional strike" and it does say "may strike," i'd guess it means you MAY choose a steal blood strike. 4. unless/until it's errata'd, damage taken should count toward the 3 damage needed to torp this vamp. it doesn't matter if you heal it, but preventing it would be a different, of course. -spindle ------------- ==== [ quoted text not captured ]

A dodge is a strike, but the reminder text to that effect was missing. > Does Crusher pay one blood to dodge the strike and strike back for > free ? or do crusher need a additional strike card to do so (like > Bronween)? He dodges on the strike he uses the ability for. On any other strike (such as those generated by additional strikes) he can strike normally. There is currently no way to do anything like "I dodge and hit you at the same time". > 2- Telepatic Tracking - The text is confusing...do T.T.superior work > just as a "not-counterpressable press to continue" or like a "psike!" > clone to restart combat before it ends (or a S:CE resolve) ? It can be used as, for example: 1) A non-counterable press, as combat would be about to end in the press phase. 2) A way of continuing combat whilst S:CE is ending combat. > 3- Kraken's Kiss 1 - Does the superior KK let you choose > between "strike: strenght+1 ranged" and "steal 2 blood ranged", or it > grant the vampire a sort of "additional strike" to do both ? It grants you the ability to strike for steal 2 blood, ranged, once . If you generate your own additional strike, you can use it, or if you go to a second round of combat, you can use it. Unless you do either of those, you cannot use it. > 4- Kraken's Kiss 2 - If a vampire successfully steal blood and use the > stolen blood to heal wounds...is the healed damage still piling toward > the "3 damage per combat = torpor" effect ? It is still damage taken. That you got some extra blood to use to heal the damage doesn't change the fact that you took damage. > And using "Taste of Vitae" ? The damage you took would still be collectable by the opposing vampire by a Taste of Vitae. -- James Coupe | PGP Key 0x5D623D5D "Steve: Yeah, well that's one of the advantages of being a sad, lonely fairy, I guess. If My apologies. That should say "once per round". [ quoted text not captured ]

Right. But it can be played when the combat is ending prior to the press step, as well. So it can be used after a S:CE. > > 3- Kraken's Kiss 1 - Does the superior KK let you choose > > between "strike: strenght+1 ranged" and "steal 2 blood ranged", > > or it grant the vampire a sort of "additional strike" to do both? > > I don't have the card in front of me right now, but as I remember it, > you only get the str+1 strike the first round. You can also use the steal blood strike if you gain additional strikes in the current round. > > 4- Kraken's Kiss 2 - If a vampire successfully steal blood and > > use the stolen blood to heal wounds...is the healed damage still > > piling toward the "3 damage per combat = torpor" effect ? > > And using "Taste of Vitae" ? > > The damage is still piled up since the damage was never prevented. Gaining blood doesn't reduce the amount of damage done. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) VTES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
