If a younger minion of mine is blocking another (older) minion, and I manage to get the other to torpor, and I play Amaranth, can I get a skillcard? Since officially I am not acting, and the rulebook says: 3. If the acting vampire is younger than the diablerized vampire, the controlling Methuselah may go through her hand, library, and/or ash heap to find a Discipline card to place on the acting vampire. This under the subject of "How to resolve diablerie"... Some confusion over that in our group...

That's a quote from an old WotC-era rulebook. From the current rulebook, section 6.5.5 "Diablerie": 4. If the victim was older (had a higher capacity) than the diablerist, the diablerist can be given a Discipline. His controller may go through her library, ash heap and hand to get a master Discipline card to put on the diablerist and then reshuffle her library or draw back up to her hand size as necessary. This may increase the diablerist's capacity by 1, but does not automatically give the diablerist a blood to fill that new capacity. http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/rulebook/rulebook.html#sec6_5_5

[ quoted text not captured ] Thanks a million! You just solved a discussion with a rule-nitpicker on our forums. We'll make sure to check the right rulebook in the future ;-)
