NRA: From the FAQ (linked to WW:VTES site): ************************************************ The new base rules incorporate a variation of the No Repeat Actions special floor rule from the V:EKN tournament rules. Instead of restricting repeats by (a sometimes difficult to define) type, a minion cannot * bleed twice in a turn * take a political action twice in a turn * use the same action card twice in a turn * take the action allowed by a card in play twice in a turn by the new rules, with no restrictions on, for example, hunting or equipping (assuming the minion can untap, of course). The last item (card in play) includes any special ability the minion may have. As equipment cards (and retainers, and allies) all count as action cards, you may take multiple equip minion actions with the same minion on any given turn, but they cannot be the same piece of equipment. You can: Equip with a Sport Bike, Untap, Equip with a .44 Magnum. You cannot: Equip with a .44 Magnum, Untap, Equip with a second .44 Magnum. ************************************************ I can't find any of this in the online rulebook. Could someone point me to it? It appears to say that you cannot equip 2 .44 Magnums with the same Minion in the same turn (though presumably you can if you have another way of getting the second? -eg Magic of the Smith) but you can get two of the same retainer (eg 2 raven Spies) on the same turn. Is this correct? If so, why the distinction? The rulebook is quite clear about this one: You it you are blocked trying to come out of torpor, you don't burn the 2 blood. Did you used to have to burn the 2 blood to attempt to leave torpor even if you were blocked in the attempt? (someone was quite sure last night that that was how it worked so I'm wondering why)

No. The prohibition on taking the same action card action prohibits taking two "employ" actions via the "Raven Spy" action card. > The rulebook is quite clear about this one: You it you are blocked > trying to come out of torpor, you don't burn the 2 blood. That changed in 1995. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Links to V:TES news, rules, cards, utilities, and tournament calendar: http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/

Related: Can you try to diablerize a vampire twice per turn? It is technically an action allowed by a card in play (the torporized vamp). If so, can you try it twice with the same vampire? Just wondering...

If so, can you That's like saying "hunt" is technically an action allowed by a card in play (the hunting vampire). No vampire's special text says "When I'm in torpor, any ready vampire may diablerize me as a (D) action". > try it twice with the same vampire? Yes, if he untaps somehow and isn't prohbited (e.g., with Change of Target's prohibition). [ quoted text not captured ]

No vampire's special text says "When I'm in > torpor, any ready vampire may diablerize me as a (D) action". But you can't try to diablerize if there's no vampire in torpor. You *can* hunt when you're at full blood. > Yes, if he untaps somehow and isn't prohbited (e.g., with Change of > Target's prohibition). Our situation: Muaziz tries to diablerize and gets blocked. A slave gargoyle is tapped and sent into combat; Muaziz is as such untapped. Muaziz tries diablerie again. This is legal, correct?

This is legal, correct? Thats right. For true sickness diablerize multiple targets with Tyler, untapping each time. -JTP

OK that makes sense. Better change the FAQ. > > The rulebook is quite clear about this one: You it you are blocked > > trying to come out of torpor, you don't burn the 2 blood. Thanks :-)
