Some Question for the Rules Team Computer Hacking Is this the only directed bleed action which may be used to target any Methuselah which does not specifically say so? ie Night Moves says that it can target predator or prey whilst Govern the Unaligned does not specifically say so. Psyche! vs Illusions of the Kindred If I play Psyche! immediately after someone plays Illusions of the Kindred do I begin combat again with the vampire attempting to bring out the illusionary vampire. It appears that this is possible after the card text "Combat ends." on Illusions of the Kindred and before the next sentence takes effect. Also following this, if my vampire enters torpor as a result of combat with the initial vampire then does the illusionary vampire come out and then leave play with no effect? Blood Brother Ambush and Ghouled Street Thug What is the innate hand damage of these allies? Is the answer a) 0, because they have 2R and 1R damage respectively b) 1, because they are allies and there is some rule somewhere that all minions have an innate hand damage of 1 c) 2 and 1 respectively, because they can do 2R and 1R respectively Brujah Debate Are multiple Brujah Debates cumulative, ie does two Debates mean each Brujah gets +2 hand damage and two optional maneuvers each combat? White Phosphorous Grenade Is the text "each strike" obsolete or not. Is the grenade burned after the first strike after the first round of combat or after the end of combat? Shackles of Enkidu Can the Shackles be burned before they have been activated? Madness Network Looking at the rulings already made I find it perplexing why a Malkavian cannot play any action cards when it isn't your turn. s940...@student.anu.edu.au http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/5304 -------------------==== Posted via Deja News ====----------------------- http://www.dejanews.com/ Search, Read, Post to Usenet

All (D) bleeds (except cardless ones) can target any Methuselah (except the acting Methuselah). This is official errata. Some cards (like Night Moves) have cards text which the RT interprets as restricting the available targets. (All copies of the rulebook, as well as the initial concept and original card set texts support the position that you can only bleed you Prey unless a card (like Night Moves) adds explicit card text to expand the available target list. But, the RT has different ideas) > Psyche! vs Illusions of the Kindred > > If I play Psyche! immediately after someone plays Illusions of the > Kindred do I begin combat again with the vampire attempting to > bring out the illusionary vampire. By the ruling of Psyche! vs. Form of Mist (which is a simpler situation, so the ruling may not be applicable), I'd say that Psyche! will terminate the special combat of Illusionary Kindred (either leaving the would-be Illusionary vampire at the bottom of the crypt, or removing him from the game - I don't know) and simply put the Illusionist back into a second combat with his original (Psyche!ing) opponent. > Blood Brother Ambush and Ghouled Street Thug > > What is the innate hand damage of these allies? > > Is the answer > > a) 0, because they have 2R and 1R damage respectively This is correct. It also applies to the Magi (Tremere Allies) and the Slashers. If an ally's only innate strike is a ranged (or range-capable) strike, then the ally has zero hand damage. > Brujah Debate > > Are multiple Brujah Debates cumulative, ie does two Debates mean > each Brujah gets +2 hand damage and two optional maneuvers each > combat? Yes. (And each Meth. still only taps her highest (single) Brujah (twice)). > White Phosphorous Grenade > > Is the text "each strike" obsolete or not. Is the grenade burned > after the first strike after the first round of combat or after > the end of combat? After the first strike in which it is used. "Each strike" is part of the standard weapon-effect template, and just happens to be superfluous on this weapon. > Shackles of Enkidu > > Can the Shackles be burned before they have been activated? By card text, yes. Hopefully a ruling will come along one of these days to errata that into something more sensible (like "No." :-) > Madness Network > > Looking at the rulings already made I find it perplexing why a > Malkavian cannot play any action cards when it isn't your turn. Because the Designers had an oversight (regarding Reaction cards) when they wrote the original rulebook. That oversight has now become the accepted standard for handling the Madness Network. ----- L. Basic Rules "The golden rule for cards": Whenever the cards contradict the rules, the cards take precedence. Put this piece of text on the wall, it helps alot during Rule fights.
