So WW's site has been updated with the new card lists. Accordingly, beerbot has also been updated with the latest cardlist.txt, and now searches from him for Anarchs cards will work. (If you aren't sure what beerbot is, go to the #vtes IRC channel on sorcery.net. If you're using a stock IRC client, try cookie.sorcery.net port 6667. If you don't want to mess around with IRC clients, then you can use the Java applet found here: http://www.thelasombra.com/chat.htm) People drift in and out all day (and many from Europe), so if nobody's talking when you join, stick around for awhile -- someone may be later. LSJ: I'm not sure who to contact about this, since I know you don't handle the updates for WW's site, but the .CSVs that are posted up there have had an HTML wrapper added to them that seems to have totally removed all linefeeds and carriage returns, rendering them useless. Right-click/Save produces an .HTM file with HTML header garbage in, and clicking through to copy/paste still produces a file without linefeeds: no matter which way I choose, Access won't import them because they contain lines longer than 65000 characters. I'm not sure why there's an HTML wrapper attached to those, because nobody ever needs to actually -view- those files. =/ Can you convince the appropriate person (Conrad?) to put them up just as plain old files without messing with them any? Or am I asking in the wrong place? =) -- "There's no gray. There's just white that's got grubby." -- T.P.

It's either your web browser (Netscape seems to try to do the same thing on this end) or the WW webserver wraps it on the fly. I've heard from others that have downloaded the files successfully, so it's probably just a web browser problem. At any rate, I've put the files in a .zip on the server as well. That should get you around the problem. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. In message <3ED253E2...@white-wolf.com>, LSJ <vte...@white-wolf.com> mumbled something about: >It's not HTML on the fileserver. I've heard from others that have downloaded the files successfully, >so it's probably just a web browser problem. I'll bet on the webserver wrapping it on the fly. I'm using the latest IE as my browser though, and if it breaks both under IE and Netscape... >At any rate, I've put the files in a .zip on the server as well. >That should get you around the problem. Sounds good. Many thanks. =) [ quoted text not captured ]

Actually, it seems to work OK on Netscape if I view the CSV text file in the browser window and then "Save As..." text. It's only clobbers it when I shift-click the link to the CSV. I have no explanation, however. >>At any rate, I've put the files in a .zip on the server as well. >>That should get you around the problem. > > Sounds good. Many thanks. =) Enjoy!
