A few questions

I have a few questions that I don't think have been covered much yet. That's partly because they're rather obscure and won't come up much, but I'd still like to know the answers 1) Blood Brother Ambush says it is an ally and an action modifier. Could you use compel the spirit to bring it into play, after it has been played and gone to the ash heap? 2) If you use the ventrue Island of Yvaros, (the one that adds hand damage), on a Priscus, how many votes does he get? It could be 1, 3 or 4, depending on which votes are counted. 3) If a vampire with zero blood successfully hunts for one blood, then untaps with Freak Drive, can he take any action? The rules say he must hunt because he is at zero blood, but he can't do that because of no repeat actions. 4) This is kind of hypathetical, but if someone plays Golconda on a vampire whose controller has only one blood, is that Methusela allowed to pay the 2 blood and allow himself to be ousted, or does he need at least 2 blood to pay that cost? Thanks for your help.

No. BBA is played as an action modifier. It is only considered an Ally while it is in play. In the hand, or when it reaches the Ash Heap, it is just an action modifier. You mean "how much is added to his hand damage", yes? I would say '+1', since "Each Priscus gets one vote" in the Prisci vote, and no votes (by default) in the main vote. (*) Genevieve and Gratiano would get +2, since they each have an extra vote (hers for the main vote, his for the Prisci vote). > 3) If a vampire with zero blood successfully hunts for one blood, then untaps with > Freak Drive, can he take any action? So, since he must hunt and cannot, he is stuck and cannot perform any action. > 4) This is kind of hypathetical, but if someone plays Golconda on a vampire whose > controller has only one blood, is that Methusela allowed to pay the 2 blood and > allow himself to be ousted, or does he need at least 2 blood to pay that cost? No. Two pool must be "paid" to cancel the "burn a vampire" effect. If two blood cannot be paid, the effect is not cancelled. -- L.
