In fact: It isn't like Magic. And I'm glad it isn't.
The only thing is I've

The best way to explain the rules is to actually play. Ask your friend
to PLAY a game with you. You will find that this game IS interesting.
The rules themselves are comprehensive.
Basically your goal is to drain your opponent off his blood pool
(This is the same as in Magic.)
You can archive this in 2 ways: bleeding and voting. This can be blocked
by your enemy's minions, and if they do there will be a fight.
If you are able to dispatch your opponent's minions in combat it will be
easy to "oust" him (drain his pool to 0) because he cannot defend
himself any longer.
If not you have to develop a tactic to harm him anyway.
(this is all the same as in Magic)
One big difference to magic is that Jyhad is a dedicated
Multiplayer-game and Magic is mostly a 2 player duell.
In Jyhad interaction with other players is very important and may lead
you to victory despite the strength of your opponents. This interaction
is one reason that I prefer playing Jyhad.
