Champion [Reaction] Only usable when a monster controlled by another Methuselah is taking a (D) action against you or against an imbued controlled by any player. The action fails and the acting monster enters combat with this imbued instead. I take it that I can order this at any stage before the action is completed. ie, If being bled, I can decline to block, let the bleed be pumped up to ungodly ammounts and then cause it to fail with an Imbued who has the Champion power? I gather it's much like the Ordering of Archon Investigation. Is this correct? If I use Champion, and enter combat, because the action has failed - can the opposing minion continue it with effects such as Form of Mist, Mirror Image and the like? --> J grail_pbem "at" hotmail.com

It wasn't blocked. Continuing a failed unblocked action as if unblocked is simply continuing a failed action -- it fails. Note that Mirror Image cannot be played at all, due to card text.

Cheers > Note that Mirror Image cannot be played at all, due to card text. Well in this case, I was talking about any (D) action - not just bleeds. But that's cool. Best way to shut down big stupid stealth bleed if ever I saw it! :D [ quoted text not captured ]

Well in this case, I was talking about Mirror Image's "If this vampire was blocked" text, not the "other than bleeding" text. The vampire was not blocked, so the "if" condition is not met.
