I know this has been covered before, but I need an official confirmation for a JOL game (149) where this just came up. -------------------------------------------------------------- Lucita bleeds (at inherent 0 stealth) and her prey tries to block with a Sabbat minion of capacity less than Lucita, ie younger. The blocking methuselah claims that because bleeding is by default at 0 stealth, Lucita's special ability does not apply to her blocking minions, whose inherent intercept is also at 0. Assume there are no other eligible minions available to block in this case. The moderator of JOL149 thinks that the blocking methuselah is correct because no errata has been posted about Lucita. I believe that this is a case of confusing text more than anything else. The '-1 Intercept' from Lucita's ability is in this case the same thing as giving her '+1 Stealth' for all intents and purposes. Also, there is no need for errata in this case for either Lucita or the stealth/intercept rules themselves because a vampire's inherent level of stealth or intercept is indeed able to go below 0, rather than always being greater than or equal to 0. The blocking Sabbat vampire in this particular case starts at a default of -1. Please excuse excessive verbosity... thanks in advance WES

Intercept starts at 0, but it can (like the stock-market) go up or down. -- James Coupe | PGP Key 0x5D623D5D "Definitely a woman" - www.thespark.com/ Standard disclaimers apply to this post. Well, Lucita seems to have a tendency to confuse us mortal men... :-) You are right, Wes: The blocking younger Sabbat vamp has indeed -1 intercept against her (and therefore, cannot block Lucita without getting additional intercept from somewhere). I had posted this question shortly after SW came out, and LSJ confirmed this. -- Hardy Range hardy...@gmx.de

Correct. And a minion with -1 intercept will fail to block a 0-stealth action. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
