Hi, I have a question about semantics. Brinksmanship: [...]Any Methuselah who has exhausted his or her library and begins his or her untap phase with less than a full hand must attempt to withdraw. [...]. Does this mean that this card changes his ability to order all "during untap"-effects? After untapping all tapped cards, is the attempt to withdraw a mandatory first action? Or can he still do other untap stuff before announcing to withdraw? grtz, Jeroen

[ quoted text not captured ] Normally, even mandatory untap-phase effects can be ordered as the active Methuselah chooses (Anarch Revolt, Egothha, etc). Brinksmanship's forced-withdrawal-attempt should be the same. Josh yes, that means that anarch revolts in play don't necessarily make your withdrawal attempt fail (sniff)

The announcement is made during the untap phase. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
