Posted this in the white-wolf forums but figured posting here might be better as I like that this forum gets archived and so is a more useful resource in many ways. If a tapped vampire uses forced awakening to try and block an action and the block comes via superior version of Kiss of Ra as opposed to an normal block (ie a card text block versus a minion block), does the reacting vampire still burn a blood? Similarly, if I play Kiss of Ra with Toreador using Aching Beauty, does the attempting blocker still burn a pool? (and yeah not many Toreadors (if any) have fortitude but is an idea I was thinking about to get the benefits of both torporing their vampire -and- make them burn a pool at the same time. ;-) Simidh, Prince of Adelaide >;->

Yes. He burns a blood if *he* doesn't block (not "if the action isn't blocked somehow"). > Similarly, if I play Kiss of Ra with Toreador using Aching Beauty, > does the attempting blocker still burn a pool? (and yeah not many No. Aching Beauty makes the "blocker" burn a blood (not for the attempt, for the successful block). -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Not that it matters in this specific case as there's no longer a blocking vampire after KoR is played. Sten During
