Couldn't find this in a search... Can Aeron burn a blood for a press at any time? Or only during the press step? Example: Could you burn a blood for a press in response to someone playing theft of vitae, so that they gain no/less blood? [Granted, pressing against a THA deck is not usually a good idea, but you get the idea.] Adam

I'm guessing because of the unwritten (assumed) rule that says you can only play abilities that give you a press during the press step. Seems logical, but I'm wondering whether Flash at superior causes a problem. I can play Flash at superior for a manuever AND a press during the set range step. If I can play effect X (Flash at super) for a press during that step, why can't I play effect Y (Aeron's special) for a press during that step?

[ quoted text not captured ] You don't get a press from Flash in the maneuver step. You get an optional press for later. Just as you can play Thrown Gate during the maneuver step (with a strike-choice "for later"), but you can't play Thrown Sewer Lid during the maneuver step, since that strike isn't "for later". Similarly, Aeron's press isn't for later.
