Is this retroactive to the old fame cards as well or can we play them as is? Just what the heck is up with that change anyways??? While were at it...how is rotschreck played these days? T

All cards are to be played as with the latest card text. > Just what the heck is up with that change anyways[?] From the RTR in which the card was errata'ed (before being reprinted to match the errata): Hoses the controller of the vampire instead of the Prey - which makes more sense from a World of Darkness perspective (the controller has to expend resources to cover up the famous one's disappearance, not the Prey, although all suffer from the mounting questions people start asking after an extended period.) This removes the "watch me shoot myself" abuses, and gives combat decks slightly improved speed, which helps in a tournament situation where the games are timed. > While were at it...how is rotschreck played these days? As printed. The vampire who is the target of the aggravated damage is sent to torpor. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) VTES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Except when they're not. Someone posted a table of which cards are supposed to be played by the latest text and which aren't. Don't ask me to quote the details but Smiling Jack was one of them. Various radical changes were made to the game in LSJ's rulings of 7/7/98. The change to Fame was one of them and the dust is still settling. Andrew [ quoted text not captured ]

All cards are to be played with the latest errata as well as the latest card texts, right. The "someone" who posted the list you're remembering is I - it was a list of cards that have had functional changes to card texts from one printing to another. It also included a list of the instances when errata had been issued to undo such changes. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) VTES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. Because I've noticed a few others and am wondering just how many cards have changed that I havnt seen yet. Obedience for example. I think the sabatt version text is different from the jyhad/vampire one. It is missing one critical part allowing the reacting vampire to stay untapped. Yet another card gets hosed! Now its just a strike:combat ends card more or less. Was this a printing error or actual rules change??? Needless to say, a list of printing errors/offical card changes would be most useful. Preferably posted on the web for downloading. T

Obedience, off the WW Site: "Only usable when this reacting vampire is about to enter combat with an acting younger vampire. THIS VAMPIRE IS NOT TAPPED and combat does not occur; untap the acting vampire. The acting vampire is blocked and cannot attempt the same action this turn. (S) As above, but do not untap the acting vampire" What does your card say? > > > Needless to say, a list of printing errors/offical card changes would > be most useful. Preferably posted on the web for downloading. This is sad but true; while if you have all the up-to-date cards you have all the right text, it's hard to know if you have all the up-to-date cards. =\ -- Pat Ricochet Soul Jar'rn Fool of Atlanta
