I know WW's people make a rule of not telling anything on a future expansion before official release, but I think that one you can tell us : is there any chance that the very hard-to-get !Tremere cards will be reprinted in a near future (i.e. in The Anarchs), or has it been decided that as the line is near-extinct, only the occasional minion will come out ? Undisclosed. What is disclosed: Most of the "main" clans will be included in the Anarchs expansion. The Gangrel will be "prominently" featured. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. First of all: I KNOW NOTHING about the contents of upcoming sets, expansions, designer's minds, the origins of the universe, etc and this is all supposition on my part but.... Also: I am not associated with White-wolf, Wizards, or any other organization that you can think of. These organizations are of course free to use anything I say in what ways they wish including my supposed subtitle for anarachs (see below) Second Point: I've already sold my soul for 2 complete sets of !Tremere. Consider that to be my stated bias. (Am currently attempting to sell my soul for succubus and Nephandus) Having said that... I would guess that the !Tremere will not see a resurgance barring them being forced back into the World of Darkness via a Storyline event. (go !Tremere). I would think that WW would continue their current trend of popping the occasional one or two out per expansion (as done in FN, CE). As for reprinting them I would guess no (but boy have I been wrong before). Part of it depends on the group numbers thing. Looking at anarchs and further down the road where sabbat vampires might again be the focus of a set if they were to be reprinted would they retain their "group 2" status? The current sabbat only vamps are group 2, as are Goratrix and that so nice 5 cap from Final Nights, the new one in CE is group 3 of course. Reprinting the !Tremere from group 2 would create expectations of a reprint of all group 2 sabbat, and I'm hoping this is in the distant future (like after I'm too old to see the cards anymore) More likely is that new !Tremere will appear, perhaps enough to play by themselves. (10-12) and I would think that this would only occur after anarchs. (Although I guess there is the possibility that all the !Tremere were not really destroyed and that they all really went undercover and joined the anarchs and that this next expansion will be their coming out party and will bear the subtitle: "Thaumaturgical ways to gain revenge for having to hide for several years after faking being turned into pillars of ash". Once again I will refer you to the disclaimer at the start of my post. =) Regards, -JTP

(Am currently attempting to sell my soul for succubus and Nephandus) Same here, I just concluded a trade for a Succubus (via a Meddling...) and am still looking for a Nephandus !! Please people with Nephandii, tell me what you want !!! Once I have it, I'll own all I need (all, period ?) in !Tremere. > Having said that... > > I would guess that the !Tremere will not see a resurgance barring > them being forced back into the World of Darkness via a Storyline event. > (go !Tremere). And maybe, the occasional Ian Forrestal ? > I would think that WW would continue their current trend of popping the occasional > one or two out per expansion (as done in FN, CE). Just imagine all the !Tremere cards (and crypt ?) are reprinted, man, wouldn't that suck a whole lot for those who payed for them or traded their souls in (to Infernalists !!! Oh my...) ? > Part of it depends on the group numbers thing. Group 2 vampires have been reprinted already, and anyway I don't think the creation of Group 4 would be viable, as as too many Sabbat signature characters and very good minions are group 2, not to mention 3 new expansions... > More likely is that new !Tremere will appear, perhaps enough to play by > themselves. (10-12) and I would think that this would only occur after anarchs. Group 3 ? Hmmm.... No, they would be compatible with all existing !Tremere, making it the biggest Sabbat Clan !! Group 4 ? See above. Nah, re-issue or nothing, I'd say. > (Although I guess there is the possibility that all the !Tremere were not really > destroyed and that they all really went undercover and joined the anarchs and > that this next expansion will be their coming out party and will bear the subtitle: > "Thaumaturgical ways to gain revenge for having to hide for several years after > faking being turned into pillars of ash". I love that one !! :-) WW staff, a clue please ? Pretty please with blood on top ?

Well, it would be a shame because some Bloodlines would need a boost. Maybe in some split-discipline cards, if not in vampires ? > Hmm...more Ravnos...how odd. Yeah, like we needed them... More 10-Cap Lasombra ? More Obf Ventrue ? More useless Assamites ? Or real vampires ? Time will tell... Orpheus

Bouh, poor Reyda surrounded by lots of evil people !! > I even seem to enjoy it. From now on, my decks will > now feature "Masochism" and "ecstatic agony". LOL. I have always wanted to make such a deck, you know, with Art of Pain too ; only Sheila Mezarin could play it, and it would be quite useless, but could be fun... Oh,and I'll restrain myself to > the best clans ever : Giovanni, !salubri and Assamites =) Don't put the Giovanni among these !! They can win, sometimes, and I know you love them as much as I do. As for the Assamites, they also can win, and you also love to play them. Now, I have nothing to say on behalf of the !Salubri. And you forgot the Samedi... > :: Oh how the mighty have fallen.. > > falling in a game doesn't hurt so much =) > falling from a 2 meters tall coping Coping, is it "copaing" in english ? ;-) Reyda, you know I share your feelings, so we'll play together when I come and unite against all the rest of the world (of darkness) !!! Question: What happend to Gotrix's soul during the exchange? I'm sure that if it survived (I've heard that he is actually a seperate entity from Tremere still, but the details are a little scetchy) it's probably out propigating like mad trying to rebuild from the ashes that were the !Tremere. Any insight into the events in question? Pc.

Spoiler space just in case you do not want to know what is up with the !Tremere, Goratrix, etc. It went something like Saulot's soul entered Tremere's body through diab (pesky antidiluvials) and slept within the body for centuries, Somewhere a while back Saulot's soul awoke and they struggled for control of the body of Tremere. (some Vicsiss in Tremere's blood manifested itself by shaping Tremere's features to match whomever was winning at the time, while the body slept in Torpor.) Around 1988 Saulot won, and consciously used viciss to match Tremere's face to that of his old body (but some Tremere remembered what they saw). He then decided to rest for a while. Tremere's soul escaped to inhabit Goratrix's body (his once faithful disciple) Tremere decided he did not want to go through the whole battle of souls thing again and put Goratrix's soul into a mirror in Tremere's study. Why did Tremere, as Goratrix destroy the !Tremere? White-wolf left that up to invididual storytellers.(did suggest some motives however) (Info From Nights of Prophecy) -JTP

Sneak bleed and lots of ranged agg damage make them very nasty in my book, just slightly harder to play than some other clans. Time will tell... Assamites aren't useless. :P But there were plenty of vampires from DS and AH that just weren't up to snuff in discipline spread or power, especially considering all the new Cam vampires which have amazing disciplines. Hrothwulf and Jeremy McNeill anyone? While the Independent clans still have lots more vampires to choose from when making crypts, I still really want to see new ones added, to make up for lost time. There are still small holes to be plugged, but major overhauls aren't needed. Jeff

Well actually I hope that they do, but only gradually and in small numbers. As the choice increases for the main clans, then there is room for a few more bloodlines, whilst maintaining the same kind of distribution spread. In particular at some point I would love to see a third Circle of Blood Brothers, some more Gargoyles, and one or two more !Salubri, Ahrimanes and Harbingers. I don't think that's too much to ask, especially if it is done slowly and gradually over time (and multiple card sets)... :) The only bloodlines I would not expect to see any more of are the Scarce ones. Personally, I'd be quite happy if Anarchs contained 1 more of each Bloodline clan, including the scarce ones. Then I might actually buy it, instead of refusing to own any, as I'm doing with Cam. Another !Tremere would be nice, maybe a 3 cap with dom tha. JSpektr
