Just wondered about the whole Prisci Block thing. If there is only one
Priscus, does a Prisci sub-referendum (of only one vamp) still count
for 3 votes in the regular referendum?
Thanks,

Yes. Even if there are no Priscus, the sub-referendum is still
there (and usually result in a tie 0-0, so no votes in the main
referendum :-)

Although a Gratiano that has changed title could still command the Priscus
block, even if there were no Prisci on the table, by passing the Priscus
subreferendum 1-0 (via special power).
Which is both funny and appropriate. Heh.

That is insane! So Gratiano can have seven votes if you put Regent on
him. That is the biggest crock of bullshit I have ever heard! What are
they putting in the water in Columbia?

He only gets four votes, plus a single vote in the Prisci
sub-referendum.
What you're calling "insanity" I call "card text".

While I guess this is legal, like others, I am rather disturbed by this. Wow!
Who needs conventional vote decks when you get just about get vote lock with
one vampire and one master card!

Try put "Regent" on Graationo ans i'll give him one turn before he's recude
to ashes. Don't forget there's a built in rush on the regent'ed vampire !!
anyone can borrow it after he diablerizes the old regent...

Which makes Regent Gratiano a prime candidate for a Secure Haven! (I'm guessing
you either play a Parthenon while Gratiano isn't out yet and then put both on
him, or just put the Secure Haven before the Regent).

2 words: Cardinal Benediction.
That's already a 3-card combo.
and: you need ALOT of combat, for every time someone else wants to steal the
votes from the regent.

What it makes him a prime canidate for is equipping with San Nicolas de
los Servitas
San Nicolás de los Servitas [SW]
Cardtype: Equipment
Clan: Lasombra
Cost: 2 blood
This equipment card represents a unique location and does not count
as equipment while in play. Actions directed at this Lasombra cost an
additional pool. If this location is burned, the Lasombra with this card
takes two damage (damage not preventable). This card cannot be
contested. Any card that would contest this location is immediately
burned before contesting begins.
You then put alot of combat defense in the deck. No straight rush deck
can afford to pay a pool for every rush action, and bloat rush decks are
nessasarily slow by the capacity of the bloating vampire.

just put in a few tele vote countings, yeah he gets a lot, but gee, he
decided to abstain, or closed session. and the Dom reaction to cancel
votes, can't recall the name.
Yeah Grat is a powerful voter, but no one vampire can do everything,
especially just Grat calling his one vote a turn. It looks scary, and
so does Arika with a Legendary Vamp on her (that was a fun game) but at
an average table you can't just use that one vamp to get vote lock.(in
my experiance)

There is a significant cost difference between Arika with a Legendary
Vampire Card on her(13 pool cost which incedentally has to be played on
her the turn after she comes out) and Gratiano with a Regent Card on him
(9 Pool cost). Also Gratiano with the Regent Card could out-vote Arika
with the Legendary Vampire card on him.
It seems counter intuitive to me that the Pricus Subvote occurs when
there are no Pricus present or in play.

You're playing vamps that big, you shouldn't be totally concerned about
pool as gain should figure in. but although gratiano has more votes the
Prisi vote can be canceled by another priscus, so he'd down to four (i
think). Plus Arika gets BO and Awe available (plus tele vote and the
others... alright so I like her a lot and unmoded bleeds for 5)

Someone gets a untap phase even if they have nothing to untap, because
some effects can occur in other peoples untaps, likewise maybe there
will be effects that occur in the Prisci vote, like a vampire with a
special vote there. The Prisci vote does not need to be 'called' it is
there for every referendum, it is however largely ignored unless it
will effect the vote, ie when there are not vamps that can vote in the
Prisci election. When such vamps exist the election is noticed.
Gratiano has two votes in that election, one is removed if he becomes a
regent, but the other still exists and can be used to influence the
outcome of the sub-refenendum.

Another Question Can a minion have a title of Priscus and
simultaneously Cardinal?
Regent [SW]
Cardtype: Master
Cost: 1 pool
Unique Master. Put this card on a Sabbat vampire you control with a
capacity above 7. This vampire has the title of Cardinal and has one
additional vote as well. Burn this card if this vampire receives
another title. Any Sabbat vampire with a different controller can enter
combat with this vampire as a (D) action. If a Sabbat vampire
diablerizes this vampire, move this card to the diablerist (before the
blood hunt is called).

You are assuming that there are no other Priscis in play. Also you are
forgetting that the regent allows other vamps to attack him. It's like
having a haven uncovered on you. Arika with Leg vamp does not have these
restriction, plus you are not counting that Arika besides the votes would
have a 4 bleed.

No they cannot have two titles. He would become a Cardinal. However in
Gratiano's case his text states that he gets an additional vote in the
Pricis sub referendum. So he gets one vote in it regardless of title.

And then when Gratiano puts Political Struggle on the other voters on
the table, and then goes and Arms of the Abyss/Entombs them, what a
giggle - a 15+ vote Gratiano is very possible - but useless against
Quentin, Tele Vote Count, etc.

Let's just hope it's not a Lasombra/Ventrue deck packing the Island of Yiaros!

Actually, she wouldn't have a 4 bleed. She would have a +4 bleed,
to have a bleed of 5 before playing any cards on each action.

Well, they're not ALL his votes, of course. Which would be gross, since
then Gratiano could clean anyone's clock with Island of Yiaros. Not that as
a regent he wouldn't do a bad job as is.
