I have a quastion which will come up tonight: ;) Basic Dominique has 4 blood, an Ecstatic Agony and a Masochism (with 1 counter) on her. I have three combat cards in my hand: Lessons in the Steel, Undead Persistance and Hidden Strength. We are in the first round of a combat. My opponent (say, Giangaleazzo, the Traitor) strikes with an Undead Strength for 3 damage. Dominique strikes for hands (1 damage). Giangaleazzo takes the damage and burns one blood to heal it. Dominique takes three points of damage. Can I choose to apply one point of damage from that three in order to qualify for Lessons in the Steel, and then prevent the rest based on the information of what my opponent has in his hand? Or must I use all prevention effects before I can handle any damage? Thanks in advance! -- Bye, Daneel
